Darren is the owner of ABC Landscaping & Cleaning Service.At first he appears to be professional and courteous but that changed once he was hired. He was irresponsible and didn't perform as he promised. For example, he first promised that any tree he trimmed he would fix if it falls down but then he didn't when one of the tree fell. Then he charged additional fees for cutting down the tree. Well, we thought maybe we misunderstood him the first time so we paid him a separate fee to get rid of thetree. Well, we came home to find the stump still there and his excuse was that he didn't have the tool to remove the stump and that he would come back to take care of it. Well, he never did and when we called again he got pissed off and said that he didn't charge enough fee toalso remove the stump and that he wants more money for that. Long story short, beside this incident, he was also late and cancel confirmed appointment at the last minute all the time. His excuses were either his had a heart attack, his wife is divorcing him again and he wasn't in the mood, andtoreason"I am busy with banks properties so I can't make it to your appointment".He took almost a week to seed winter grass in a very small yard. Finally, he fired him. Sowe guess if you are not a bank,don't hire him. Additionally,we hired him off of Servicemagic.com so we thought we should rate his company so other consumers won't fall victim to companies like his. Next thing we know, we got threads call from him. The unfortunate thing is that Service Magic removed our review without even giving us a call or email to investigate. So I guess, we are also suggesting that you dont' use this website neither. Horrible experience we don't need.Good luck all and becareful....

I am thankful for the opportunity to respond to Mr. Lee's comments. I was hired by Mr. Lee in mid-Sept. 2010, he was paying $85 a month for bi-monthly lawn maintenance, which was simply mowing, weedeating, blowing off patios, walkways, driveways and weed maintenance. He had a 16 ft Palo Verde tree with thorns go down in October 2010, right after the really bad wind and hail storm we had. Lots of trees came down throughout the East Valley. I am not aware of any company that would include tree trimming or removal for $85 a month. I explained beforehand that we could grind the stump or remove it. He did not want to pay for either, only the tree cut down, which we did right down to ground level. As for the winter seed and de-thatching, anybody that knows how to do this understands that it takes at least 2 visits. First, you have to cut the water to the grass and allow the bermuda to dry out, then you return to cut the bermuda almost to the dirt and finally you are ready to de-thatch (if needed), overseed and fertilize. I was not, nor are we doing bank houses anymore. Last of all, my Dad did have a heart attack and was in the hospital, just 2 days after my Mom had a major knee surgery. I have a lovely wife and I find Mr. Lee's personal attack rude and undignified. Regarding his comments of being on-time, well my other reviews on Service Magic speak for themselves, I have a 4.46 out of 5 rating on there and I am also with the BBB and I have a perfect record with them.
