This has to be staffed by the worst employees in the world. Ignorant, rude and just plain stupid business practices. Worst refund policy and ridiculous two story floor set up to further inconvenience the customers. Staff making personal phone calls and ignoring customers. Cashiers who don't know the products and then get sarcastic when the customer has to climb back up stairs to fetch a price. Continually arguing with the customer. Blocking legally parked vehicles in with delivery trucks in complete indifference to the customer's need to leave. All this in one trip and when told this would be the last - thanked by the arrogant staff. Find another place to shop and stay away from this horrible place. Worst examples for a beach town tourist community ever.

Always finding a way not to honor their coupons as well. Totally useless business.

Regarding Ace hardware in Lauderdale, Florida. I think we probably have the second worst one here in Sarasota, 17th street. Attitudes from the staff sound about the same, it must be a requirement to be hired in this company. I took a blank key in there to be cut, it was a special key I had to buy on line for a car. Nothing else, just cut the blank from an original key I had, well they decided after the locksmith talked to the manager that it would be $25.00 to cut my key, I told them they were crazy and this was what I expected as they have tried to scam me before. I drove over to Bradenton to Manatee hardware and asked them to do the same job, sure no problem I was told, they made a great copy for me and charged me $2.14 with tax, and did for me with a smile on their face. Ace hardware is an overpriced, unfriendly and in general just a shitty store with people to match.
