| I have already been rippe off enough by crooks like tis. I am afraid that they are Crooks. He said that he would have to have $149.00 before 05/26/2011 in order to help me obtain the refund. I do not trust this person, after I have researched them on the internet, I do not and can not afford to be a victim of a scam as I have fell for these types of lies before and lost several thousnad dollars that I will never get back. |

Hello, today is June 6, 2011 and I received a letter that I believe might be from the same company / individual. The letter states:
(My name)
This notice is to inform you that you may be owed several thousand dollars on your mortgage that funded on (date) in the amount of (amount).
Based on city and county records your loan as well as many others may have been overcharged or miscalculated several thousand dollars.
While refunds vary, amounts owed can range from as high as $1, 500 to over $7, 800.00.
A consumer analysis is available to those that receive this notice. This analysis is provided to determine eligibility and interest reduction options with no refinancing required.
Call now toll free at 1-877-778-4727 for further information. As part of this ortgage auditing and refund service, please refernec eligibility: T### (number) when calling.
First of all, what caught my attention, was the fact that there was only a company name in the head of the letter, no address, no names to contact. The envelope had only PO Box 788, Sandy UT 84091-0788 return address.
Second, in scams, people create a sense of urgency - something like: call now, listing expires etc., and so does my letter : Listing expiration 06-17-2011.
I am going to call tomorrow and see if they want the $149 fee that i found they want on a different website - ripoffreport.com and I will post an update here.
I am glad that people share their experiences like that - it's a true warning and a great way of protecting ourselves against unscrupulous scammers.

CHANGED PHONE #1-888-835-5808 on August 6, 2011 LETTER!
This is what is happening when these become public record on our HOMES within our county!
Also, if any banks that we as Americans deal with get broken into their systems they get our information and work on many scams for us to call them and give them information they need.
FIRST and foremost, we as AMERICANS know for a fact that we as consumers can stop them by not even calling them and contact the proper authorities! Yes, get your free credit report every year and check your public records. ITS TIME TO STOP PUBLIC RECORDS! |
