Control # 622733 Aetna Insurance should have their license suspended and the state and Insurance corporations need to do a thourough investigation into how they fraudulently take peoples money without any consequences. I am once again writing to tell you that Aetna Life Insurance Company has again threatened to stop my LTD Benefits, stating that THEY found I am capable of doing some sort of work, even though my treating doctor has stated that I am totally incapable of work. (Letter from my physician enclosed). Today, August 3, 2011 I received a call from Peggy from Aetna Life Insurance stating that AETNA has determined that I can in fact return to some sort of work and they will stop my checks of $244 a month. This is AGAINST my treating doctors orders. For two years Aetna has attempted to stop the benefits, WHICH I AM ENTITLED TO, for my LTD, which I paid for through payroll deduction. Today, they have determined (without ever even seeing me) that I can go back to work, and they are stopping these benefits. In March 2011, my doctor was sent a Capabilities and Limitations worksheet which he filled out, (I am sending a copy), stating in writing “TOTALLY DISBALED.” In April 2011, Aetna tried to say they were stopping my benefits because my doctor never responded to their letter. When I told them that he did in fact return it because I have the certified letter to prove it, they suddenly found it. In May, 2011, another Aetna Rep called me and said they were going to stop my benefits because they never received an answer from my doctor. Again, I had a SECOND certified letter receipt stating that I had RESENT the doctors answers to them. Again, they found that they had indeed received it. In July 2011, I received another Capabilities and Limitations worksheet from them. (This is the same exact letter my doctor filled out twice and sent back to them since March), and again they stated they did not receive it. Once again, I have a 3rd certified letter stating that I did in fact send it to them. My doctor got to the point that he said he cannot continue to fill these out every 3 weeks for me. Aetna is now playing God and saying I can in fact work. I am seeking legal assistance in filing a suit against Aetna. Control # 622733 On October 20, 2010 I was notified by Aetna that I am to attend an IME, which I have absolutely no problem attending, other than transportation needs. They scheduled me an hour an a half from my home, (which they claim is only 20 minutes), but I still have no problem with this. I have had six surgeons tell me in the last year that I will need shoulder replacement before I can even think about working again. On October 22, 2010 I spoke to Heather Smith about having transportation arranged for me. She said she would look into it, but never called me back. On October 26, 201 I called Heather Smith back. Left a voice mail. Never got a call back. On October 27, 2010 I called Heather back once again. Again had to leave a voice message. On October 28, 2010 I called Heather Smith back once again. She got on the phone this time and said she didn’t call me back because the transportation company was supposed to call me. That she had arranged transportation. On November 1, 2010 I still hadn’t heard from any transportation company for my November 11, 2010 appointment. I called and left another message with heather Smith. On November 2, 2010, I left another message, voicing concerns about no hearing from the transportation company. On November 4, 2010, I again had to leave a message with heather Smith. Again I got no return call. On November 8, I left yet another message for Heather Smith. On November 9, I called and left Heather a message, and then called back and asked for her supervisors name. They said it was Jeremy Lickenstein. On November, 10, 2010 (today), I have left Heather Smith one message, and Jeremy two messages voicing my concerns that I have no clue what time, or who, or even if someone is picking me up tomorrow. As of 2:00 pm I have yet to hear back from one person from Aetna. To me this sounds like Aetna may be attempting to purposely make me miss my IME and then claim that I did not attend what they are entitled to. I also have some concerns of not knowing who will be coming to my house at 6 or 7in the morning, especially with children in my home.
