I filled out a request for moving quoates on line and was given several bids. All Points was not the cheapest or the most expensive, but their sales representative kept calling and promising me a very good deal. The woman's name was Grace. She assured me I should use them because, they did not broker out and had all their own trucks.She qoated me based on 11,00 pounds. This was 4,00 over an average 3bedroom house. I agreed to have them move me and sent Ms. Grace my deposit. After reading the contract over again, I noticed they chargedextra for stair. Not wanting surprises on my bill.I called her back and explained where I lived had two flights of stairs to go up. She said that was only for apartments with over 4-5 flights of stairs, no pertain to me. Itold her I had 3roundpens for horses and again she stated she had already added these to the estimate. Lastly I reminded her I had riding lawnmover and wasn't that a bulky item. Oh no she said that was only motorcycles and waterbeds. Told me to relax, she would take good care of me. Never heard anymore from the company again Ms Grace advised me to purchase bubblewrap and save money wrapping myself. I wrapped and boxed everything, so all the movers had to do were to load the furniture and boxes, it was all ready to go. Finally the day before my set move date domeone called from yhe company:driver was broke down and they would be arriving on the second set date. I reminded them I was promised the load would be in Tupelo by the 15th, he stated it still would be there. The second pickup scheduled day: Driver called at 12pm stated they were about three hours away from Portland. I asked him then would they still be able to deliver on time. Here again, I was asured it would. Finally, at 330pm a small truck, like a u-haul, shoeed up at my door. I told thr driver that was way too small of a truck for all my things. He stated my things were going to a warehouse to be dtored waiting for a semi truck to move it cross country. Here again I questionef the delivery date and was told ahain it would be there on the 15th. Then the driver dtated he was going to give me an estimate for him to agree to load my things. I tried yo ecplain Ms.Grace had already done all that and I had paid my down payment and had the 1/2 of the total, as per ageed at the time I signed the contract. He said I had bulky items, and needed to see everything going for him to give me thr real price. His price was twice the price I had agreed to. I had to be at my job in Tupelo on the 15th, so I felt I had no choice and agreed to pay the new price. I was told I could wrote a check for this because I was informed of the price change at the last minute. I wrote the check out to Intrrstate Van Lines. Suddenly I remembered speaking to a rep from Interstate who gave me some advice not to go with a broker, only companies who own theirown trucks. He asked me who I was considering. I said All Points and he said they were a good company, owned their own trucks and I should go with them. Guess I know why now! I wrote a check to Interstate and asked the driver/foremam why not All Pionts? He stated they were all the same: All Points, Lidor, Zooz, Mainline, Interstate; they just had differant names. I know now they use multiple names so when they get sued they can continue cheating people in differant names. People file reports againest one, the company stops pushing that name, cheats folks under a differant name, then when that one doesn't work they go back to the other one. They are like roaches The driver/foreman informed me he tried to negotiate with the company on my behalf but could not load for less than he stated, but Ms Grace no longer was under the company's employment. I told him I did not want anybody to loose their job, just didn't want anymore surprises. The driver and 2 other men loaded my things. They took all my furniture apart and we kept asking them why? And were they going to remember how the pieces went together, because no one appeared to be saving the hardware with the furniture. They had no method to their madness and wpuld start one room then go to another then another or maybe back to the original room. Sometime around 10-11pm they stopped for the night. The driver/foreman said they would return around 9am tomorrow. They took part of the bed frame and I had to get a motel for the night. I returned st 9am and waoted for the movers till 12pm. I tried yo call All Points during that time and no one answered. This surprised me because whenever I called before I dtarted dealing w/the driver, they always answered, not anymore!! After they finally arrived,they appeared to be taking their time, talking on their cell phones and playing around eith each other. At onr time it began to rain,they judt left my boxes outside in front of the little truck getting wet. I told the driver/foreman and also showed him my patio table ehich had a polished rock surface was broken also. No onr seemed concerned anout my things and tossed things everywhere. This again lasted till late into the night; they took a load to the storage unit they said my things would be at waiting for the semi truck to pick it up. Said they wanted to get lunch and wpuld return in 1 1/2 hrs. They left at 3pm and returned at 6pm. Here the driver/foreman tolf me the drlivery would be on the 18th instead, I wasn't happy but it was okay as long as it wasn't later because I understood I had to give them the remainder of the payment at delivery in a money order or cash. I had to go to Dallas on business and there woild not be anyone to recieve it. He assured me that woild not be a problem it would be thete well before the 20th. They worked till around 1030pm and finally left. When I got to Tupelo, I got my son to come wait for my furniture and had the bank write me out a money order for the balance; which had been assured by the driver/foreman was the total amount I was to pay, final bill, no more surprises. The driver called me on the 20th, stating he would be bringing my things tomorrow. I told him I was getting ready to board a plane but my son was there and he had the money order from the bank. This guy got angry and said no,nothing from the bank! Nothing that I could stop payment on. He would only accept cash or a postal money order. I then postponed my flight returned to the bank changed the mo for cash. The next day the driver,Ishmael, called my cell phone and informed me he could not get an 18 wheeler in my straight driveway and would need me to send him vis Western Union 1250 dollars for rental of a shuttle truck I sent the money to him the way he requested; Western Union pay to my son,wonder if he had a license? The next day my son called me frantic because the driver was leaving and all my things wrre not there. I happened to havr the driver's cellphone number on my phone, callef him and he said someone wpuld call me back. Two days later, after multiple calld and no return, someone called me. Had found my things in Washington storage and would bring them to me on thr 9th or 10th of July. Today is the 10th Iam sitting here with a washer and no dryer, a bed frame w/o matresses, furniture w/o hardware to put it together. That garden tractor? The one I paid extra for shipping? It's not here either. Multiple calls yesterday and of course, no return of my calls, still no furniture. I would just like this month long nightmare to end. Please for your own sanity Do Not Use These Companies
