Allianz travel insurance must be in bed wioth the airlines and is a total ripoff Internet

Will never purchase travel insurance again from this company. It pops up automatically when scheduling a flight with American Airlines which should have been a HUGE red flag. Our flight out of Jackson was cancelled due to severe weather on Christmas day. The soonest the airlines could get us out was 6 days later unless we drove 8 hours to Dallas. Allianz refused to pay the hotel and fuel expenses of traveling to another city for our flight. They only allowed $150.00 for a "one day trip interruption." Definitely NOT worth the price of the insurance. Also cannot stand the patronizing canned speeches their representatives give when you finally get someone to answer the phone. Definitely will not be spending one dime for their product again and STRONGLY advise others to look elsewhere if you really want to protect your travel investment.
