This morning, I received a call from Joy Winters claiming to be a process server on behalf of her client. When I asked her what company she worked for she again repeated that she was a process server and that I was being called due to a bad check. I again asked who was she working for and she refused to tell me. She asked me to verify address and when I refused she hung up. I do not verify anything over the phone. She later called back and left the same repeate message of being a process server for her client and asked to return call to 877-239-2730 with claim number to reference. I found out later in the afternoon that the same Joy Winters called various family members and friends and left the message that she was a "process server and she was working for her client. I needed to return her call at the 877 number and gave the claim number. She then stated that I would be picked up becausing I was writing bad checks." For the record, I have not written a check since 2006......and I pay all bills online. With all that is going on in this nation, I refuse to give anyone my personal info via phone. Too many scam artist looking to make money off us.
