I sold a book to a buyer on amazon.com. It was a 300 dollar book, sold at $49.00 I sold it, and as usual amazon gives me a reasonable shipping amount to cover shipping fees. This time not only did they only give me 3.99 for shipping, which later cost me $16.00 (the cheapest method, USPS) but they ended up practically giving this item to the con artist for free. Theres nothing more that I hate than a company such as Amazon.com that robs good peoples money. The book that I sold had a strict no refund, as-is policy, but this seller filed for an A-Z Guarantee Claim to try and get his money back after changing his mind or possibly copying every page right out of the book. Amazon.com asked me for my side of the story and I told them that we have a strict no refund policy, especially on used items, but that the buyer will be given the one time option to return the book to me. I also mentioned to them that I would return the money minus original shipping costs, provided that they return the book to me. Without asking for my Approval, Amazon refunds the buyer the money, and I am now book less. I called Amazon Seller Central support and all they told me is " We're sorry, it's the buyer's decision to return the book or not." Well, that's ridiculous!!! I don't go buying something on Amazon.com, then ask for a refund, get my refund, and not return the product back! It just doesn't work that way. And not only that but Amazon charged me two times for the refund. So the original $49 dollar sale cost me almost 110 dollars in expenses, plus the book.
