At he begining of last summer I had a rear brake job performed on my 2003 Corvette. My brake pads wore out within a year. I was told that the brakes were top of the line and that they carried a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. The brakes wore out within the year. I took the car back for inspection and was told that the warranty could not be honored because something else in the brake was defective. I got a second opinion from another service station and they indicated that the brakes service was faulty and the pads were worn. I was quoted a price from America's service station that was 80% more expensive than the service from the second opinion. How can prices differ so much?
