American National Recovery Group Inc. George Dodd Mailed collections notice on Connecticut state property tax claim based on dated and incorrect infor
18th of Sep, 2011 by User526332
Similar to prior complaint, I received a letter purporting to be a collections notice for a claim from a 1997 CT state tax bill. Attempts to contact sender have been futile.

I received a similar letter this week with a due date of 2001. What do I do if I can't prove I paid this CT city property tax bill - I don't keep receipts more than 7 years? I still have 4 years before the Statute of Limitations expires so and I read that this company can sue. I didn't even know what this "past due notice" was because it didn't have any details, just my name, the dollar amount and the CT city. The only reason I discovered it could be related to a motor vehicle was by surfing the web about this company and reading many others' complaints on forums, etc. Anyone have advice? What was the outcome? This whole thing sounds fishy and I'm immediately putting a free 90-day alert on my credit report. What if this is linked to identity theft?
