ARA is an nationally recognized split placement staffing agency 7491 N Federal Hwy C5-323 Boca Raton, FL 33487 Click here to unsubscribe I signed up for the online "training" which consisted of an online slide show and a talking head in the upper right corner. The 45-minute presentation consisted a few informational slides, including a CNN Money report (supposedly) showing that the median income for recruiters was $77,000. They told us that they would send us job boards, then we would cut and paste and advertise for the position. The job involved recruiting others to work for various companies. They would then tell us that they could only accept 40 new people. We were directed to "joinara.com", where we were given 2 payment options beginning at $317. Several minutes passed while people allegedly signed up and the number of people able to begin tomorrow ticked down. During the live chat, I typed in "why does your company have 2 different names (Americans Recruiting Association and Ten Star Recruiting)? My question did not appear on the board. Someone was obviously editing the chat, if it was being received at all. The whole thing just seems very fishy to me. They made it sound so easy and so lucrative. In other words, too good to be true. Has anyone else dealt with them?

I sat through the presentation, but once I read the small print in the terms and agreement, seems that $317 is a membershiop for only ONE MONTH!!! I BACKED AWAY!

They just sent me the same email and I was leery so I called and left a message for the woman who sent me the email. Then I started Googling about the company and found your post. I immediately thought it was a scam and it looks like I was right according to what you've said. I'm going to continue looking for info. I also saw 2 company names but my 2 were Americans Recruiting Association and American Staffing Association.

I got the same things in my email and went thru the presentation. I know they are not a member of the Better Business Bureau so it is difficult to find information on them. Wish I could hear from someone who has used their system.

I just got an email from them as well as from another company that looked like the same outfit. I have been working online for about 7 ot 8 years now for a couple different companies and a real company will never ask you for money to hire you. For sure it is a scam or MLM either way it is not good!!! As a side note if you go to www.wahm.com there are many postings on that site for work as well as job discussion boards and a scammer list. It pays to weed through the listings and look at the older ones as well since many of the spots did not get filled. They have work at home jobs and on site jobs. Theres tons! I may be starting a small company and trying to get clients (I hope) If anyone would like any advice or help in the job market, please let me know and I will try to help you. For no charge haha! My email is [email protected] please use the subject line "Employment help" and Ill see what I can do. My name is Shawn. Good luck to all of you in your search. One last thing you can try West at Home. I used to work there it is inbound sales and the pay is OK. Their website is www.westathome.com good luck!!

I listened to the training and overview. you have 3 days to cancel for your money back. I would like to hear of people that got into the sight after paying?

Just listened to the presentation and I agree if you have to pay to get a job there is usually something fishy. I just exited and did not pay or listen to the entire presentation. Never saw my name appear when I sent in a question.

The other day, I had the online meeting with them and while, I was listening I said to myself. This is too good to be true. The sad part about it, there was like 300 people connected to that meeting and I think 90% paid that 317 dollars to be a membership. I think people, you should investigate first before giving away your money like that. There is too much of those people out there trying to take advantages of others. I know it is hard to find a job right now. I have two years struggling to find one too but I don't fall for this. Don't give up. Keep posting resume everywhere and when at least expected, the right job will be presented to you. God bless you all.

I fell victime and paid the 317 bucks. Somebody called me the next mornign and I haven't since heard from them. I have been robbed by these cold blooded people who don't care about the unemployed. Is there a way i can get my money back? They are dealing with the wrong guy. I will use all means possible to get my monyey back.

I tried to post throughout their presentation because the presentation's spelling, punctuation and grammar were so bad:

"The spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors in the presentation were horrendous! I'd be happy to apply for a proofreading position!"

Somehow it never went through to 'the board'. I e-mailed them with a follow-up; plus they've been TEXTING ME and I have to pay for every text. Tried to find out how to block them on my phone from calling again, but so far no luck.

So sad in this day and age (and economy) when so many of us are struggling. My advice: RUN as fast as you can away from these people. That was an hour out of my life that I can never get back.
