I purchased a 2002 Freightliner FL70 from Andy's Truck Center. Prior to the purchase, I had many conversations and emails with the owner and his sales person Ron regarding the condition of the aforementioned vehicle. Andy's Truck Center lied about many things. 1. I was told the vehicle has only 63k miles on it and that was the extent of the use on the truck.
The truck had over 7000 hours on the engine, which calculates out to over 200,000 miles!!! I was told there was no hour meter. It was within 4 inches of the ignition key! 2. I was told the truck just came off of a lease program and was completely serviced and inspected. It was NOT!
The rear brakes were gone. The rear brake drums were worn out. The rear tires had bad sidewall damage hidden inside the rear wheels. They were never taken off the truck to inspect the brakes. The door locks to all 4 doors were not connected. The ignition lock is broken. The window seals are missing from all for door windows. The engine had stored electronic errors for problems with the truck and was reset without making repairs. The oil pan has a giant dent in it. The radiator was broken. The air pump leaked. The injection pump needed repair. The fuel gauge did not work. All the tires had to be replaced. The heater is broken. There are oil leaks everywhere. The transmission filters were Original and had never been serviced. The is more!!! I asked specific questions regarding the brakes, tires, engine hours, and maintenance and was lied to. |

I had the same problems exactly, I would never buy a truck, or recommend them to anyone.
I am looking at 10k in truck repairs and 4k in altec boom repairs.
They lie to you till they get your money, then its see you later.
They also told me the boom and truck were inspected, they were not, many leaks and problems.
When I call I get flip remarks, I did not expect the truck to be perfect to no means, but I did not expect the truck to be pretty much a salvage or yard truck for 37k.
I called them and they do not call back now.

I ALSO HAD A FEW ISSUES WITH THE USED BUCKET TRUCK I BOUGHT FROM ANDYS TRUCK CENTER.. BUT I UNDERSTOOD THAT I PURCHASED THE TRUCK AS/IS AND WITH THAT IN MIND.. I CALLED THEM TO SEE IF THEY WOULD HELP OUT WITH ANY RELIEF.. TO MY SURPRISE THEY IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT THE TRUCK INTO THEIR SERVICE DEPT AND NOTIFIED ME THAT THE MALFUNCTION WAS DUE TO A INTERNAL LEAK IN THE HYD RAM.. UN-NOTICEABLE TO THE TRAINED EYE.. AND AGGREED TO REPAIR IT AT NO COST.
I REALLY DON'T FEEL THAT THE LAST 2 COMMENTS ACCURATLELY JUSTIFY WHAT REALLY MIGHT OF HAPPENED WITH ANDYS TRUCK CENTER AND YOU'ALL..
YOU THINK THAT MAYBE YOU BOTH ACTED LIKE YOU EXPECTED A NEW TRUCKS- BUT DIDN'T ACCEPT THE FACT THAT THE TRUCK YOU BOUGHT WAS USED AND ACCEPTED AS/IS.. SEEMS YOUR BOTH UPSET ABOUT YOUR OWN WRONG BUSINESS DECISIONS.
USSER 257345- AREN'T YOU RE-SELLING THE 2002 FREIGHTLINER YOU JUST BOUGHT FROM ANDYS TRUCK CENTER ON EBAY FOR $49, 000.00 ? ebay item # 110710854684. I noticed THIS BEING the TRUCK in another blog ad you have on this company as well.
WOW.. BIG $$ - AND A NICE PROFIT TO BOOT. WHAT I LIKE IS HOW WELL YOU DESCRIBE THE TRUCK TO BE A GREAT VEHICLE..

THE ONLY WRONG BUSINESS DECISION WAS TO DEAL WITH ANDYS TRUCK CENTER.
THE RESPONSE FROM TREEMAN321 WAS PROBABLY WRITTEN FROM ANDYS TRUCK CENTER ITSELF.

Your MADD because YOU made a mistake.. you bought a used truck .. Maybe next time you should consider new or something with a warranty.
I think that user257345 and altec123 are the same pissed off individual that is just trying to bring down his own misfortunes onto a legitimate and long standing company like Andys truck center.
Didn't your momma ever say" if you don't have anything to say..don't Say anything at All".. Because all you are doing is making others want to see if you are saying is true.. Thus.. If it is false your creating more business for andys truck center..
Why don't you just call the mgr at andys truck center or just swing on by and talk this out.. I bet you will be surprised in the fact that they might just work with you.. As they did with me.
Andys truck center has been around for a long time.. Companies just can't run that long taking clients for a ride.. I do not feel that you really have grounds to keep forcing your angry views because you haven't really faced the fact that you are the one who is ultimately to blame on a deal that you entered that was unfavorable.
Work it out..
