AT&T Micro Cell, great product, deceptive rebate SF, California

If you live where cellular service is nill and have Broadband access, the ATT Micro Cell is the product for you. It works great, but the cost is $150.00 with a $100.00 rebate. As opposed to using your plan minutes, they want you to sign up for unlimited Micro Cell minutes. Therefore, three months later a form letter shows up and says you are not able to receive the rebate. This is deceptive.

They sold me a $200 Micro Cell over the phone and told me there is a form online that will give me a $200 rebate if I fill out the "rebate form that is available on their website".

there is no rebate for for $200 on their website.

I called in and they hung up on me after about 20 minutes.

I called in again and she said there is a $150 rebate, and about 10 seconds later she changed her mind and said there is only a $100 rebate, but you have to have an unlimited calling plan of $19.99 for 6 months before you can get the rebate. This means you actually pay more than you get back. You also don't get money but a card of some sort from ATT.

This entire thing is very bad business from ATT and has scam written all over it.
