AT&T Misleading Product Service Information/Disabling Existing Service On a Paid Account , Internet
16th of Jun, 2011 by User981613
After receiving three letters from AT&T, my home phone provider, inviting me to purchase a dsl service, I requested the service. I will be taking online classes soon, and needed to have Internet access, which the letters stated clearly were available in my area. Two weeks and numerous calls and contacts by me to AT&T, I not only have no dsl, I have no home phone! Apparently, when they came out to install the dsl, there were "technical" difficulties. In trying to get the installation done, they disabled my home phone! Now I go to the online chat, only to be told that I need to contact sales regarding my home phone having been deactivated by AT&T, plus no dsl! I did not create a problem. I tried to order additional service! Why should I be the one trying to get to the bottom of things after two weeks, four phone calls, and two online chat sessions?!
