Bartending Academy Deceives Incoming students into thinking they'll get a bartending job Portland Oregon

The bartending academy is a scam that deceives incoming students into believing they will be hired right after finishing their "classes". I went and talked with Taryn (who has since left) and he told me how much I can make as a bartender, and that I would be making a lot more than I was at my last job ($36,000/yr). He also said that I should have a full time job by 2 weeks after finishing the course. The bartending academy also claims to have job placement for graduates. Their idea of job placement is basically one of their employees reading out of the newspaper want ads, or just naming a restaurant that needs a server. AND HERE I WAS THINKING I WAS LEARNING TO BE A BARTENDER, NOT A SERVER! It is now 7 months later, and all I have to show for a job is working 2 days a week serving beer at a race track. I make no where near what I was told I would make. I have heard from bartedners that applications are thrown away if anybody writes they were educated at the bartending academy on them. The best luck I've had with my job searches are when I do not mention the Bartending Academy. I have talked with a few other graduates who are in the same situation as I am. I would called them up, and requested a refund for false advertising, and manipulation. All they would say to me is that I wasn't applying myself and had a bad attitude when I went to apply for a job. HOW THE F*CK WOULD THEY KNOW WHAT MY ATTITUDE IS LIKE. Unlike them, I have all my teeth, I dress in clean clothes, I'm fairly attractive, and I know how to talk to other people! I want to find a way to get my money back. Please help me. Sean
