Beaumont Exotics
Beaumont Exotics Sacha Boren Individual uses breeding business claiming it is an

Not too long ago a family member was in an accident that rendered her unable to care for two rare exotic animals (for harassment reasons we are not mentioning the species) she had raised from a very young age and was incredibly attached to and even considered them a member of her own family as she had no kids. She asked us, her family, to take them in and take care of them since she was no longer physically able to do this yet still wanted them to be a part of her life. However, even though we initially agreed we were not in the best position to do this since we worked and could not give these animals the best possible life. Then a good friend told us about Beaumont Exotics, and how wonderful they were and how they rescue unwanted exotics, help the community and either adopt them out into homes or keep them at their facility and take care of them properly. We contacted them and were told that they would be more than happy to take these animals. They convinced us that these animals would remain at their facility and that us and our family member could come visit them any time since we felt like we were giving up part of our family. We also told them that they MUST remain together in a large enclosure as they are very bonded to one another and we were really worried about them. Again they reassured us that this would be no problem and so with what we felt was a great solution we left them in their hands. A week later we called them to check up on how they were adjusting to their new home. They were very short with us and could not answer our questions. We asked to speak with someone else who told us that they were doing wonderful. We then asked if we could come visit just to see to reassure ourselves they were ok. They gave us excuses that made no sense. We then decided to do a search online and were SHOCKED when we found out that right after receiving these animals they were placed for sale on exotic pet ads on the internet for a very large amount of money. They were being sold individually and pictures of them showed them in small cages looking miserable. We became very angry and again called asking sweetly if we could come see them. After several attempts and excuse after excuse we finally confronted them about what we saw online and they acted as if they had no idea what we were talking about and hung up on us. We continued trying to get in contact simply wanting our babies back, since they promised us this would not happen to them, but were threatened with harassment towards us and our family members. We then called pretending to be interested in "buying" our babies back saying we saw that ad online but were told one of them were sold already so inquired about the other one and were told that it was also sold and being shipped out soon. We were disgusted and we began doing research online on "Beaumont Exotics" and the owner Sacha Boren and what we found made us even more sick to our stomachs. We found out that there were other people that experienced the same scenario as us and that Sacha Boren had been placed on different scam and fraud alert sites. Also everything we were told was a lie. We were told some of these people worked for zoos and had degrees in this field and found out this was not all true. We had people tell us that had contacted them asking for help on how to take care of certain exotics they found and were given incorrect information. We also found out that Sacha Boren's company "Beaumont Exotics" used to be a breeding business that she turned into an "animal rescue" organization in order to hide the fact that she takes in peoples exotic animals and turns around and sells them or breeds them or keeps them for herself or a few of her close associates she works with. Since this is an "exotic animal rescue" it is not held to the same standards as say a dog or cat rescue and animals are NOT required to be spayed or neutered and tabs are not kept on them the same way as a normal rescue would be. She has turned her company into a front trying to seduce the community with fund raisers for the "animals" but this money is mostly pocketed tax free! She gets these animals for free and the rare ones she keeps and breeds or sells online even through broker services so that people do not know that it is her doing it. She then tries to cover up what she is doing by having adoptions at the Petco in Port Arthur, but these are almost always for common exotic animals such as ferrets, turtles, etc. The rare ones that she claims she"Adopts out" are either featured on her website and the adoption
price is a SELLING price or are sold online. She also buys and sells exotics freely on the open market online. Since others have started catching on to what she and some of the people she works with have been doing she has changed her tactics and tried to hide what she does more by trying to surround herself more in the community with their facebook page to try to make it look like they are really helping the animals completely. Most of the people that work for them are volunteers that they do not pay so they get free help. Only a few people profit with them. They do not have to pay taxes by claiming they are a "rescue organization". She has also posted on want ads looking for intact animals to breed with animals she has gotten in through her rescue. They have opened up a small exotic animal zoo type thing where people pay admission to see the animals, which yes IS GOOD and educational especially for kids, but once again these are animals she has gotten for free, she gets mostly volunteer employees so she does not have to pay people, she asks for donations so she does not have to pay for animal care and gets money through fundraisers in the name of these animals that she and a few others pocket. In fact this "company" was NEVER EVEN LICENSED until the beginning of May 2011 and they have been operating as an exotic animal rescue taking in exotic animals for over a year! She has also taken in exotics and have posted pictures of them prior to be licensed, such as skunks, that are illegal to keep even as a rescue animal UNLESS you are licensed. She has been changing her name online so people cannot find her and has deleted old pictures and comments talking about buying and selling animals through dealers to try to hide this now that more people have caught onto her. WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES that have fallen victim to SACHA BOREN and Beaumont Exotics and since it has happened have come across more and more people in our shoes. When we try to ask them questions or confront them on these issues they either lie, avoid us or tell us that we are harassing them and then claim on their facebook pages that they are the victims and we are "haters"! Yes their website and facebook DOES look like they are really good people. It has only been like this for a very short period of time though, mostly to cover up the truth and everything they do all the events and fundraisers only bring in more money for them or they charge for services as another way to make money while still looking like good people. I have NOTHING against animal rescues and think that exotic rescues are a wonderful thing, but these people are deceitful and NEED to be investigated! I would not be surprised if their private property was overrun with exotics in small cages and diseases. I am sorry, but I have had to tell my now disabled family member who has been through so much who we promised to take care of her "babies" that we were deceived and lied to and they were sold and this breaks my heart and nobody should ever have to go through this! If other people out their have experienced similar things through these people PLEASE report your stories so when we report them for what they are doing we will have MORE THAN ENOUGH PROOF. We already have close to 30 people that have also been burned that are willing to testify along with us. Once again you may not agree with us and may send us hateful messages, but until you have been through WHAT WE HAVE you have NO IDEA what is REALLY going on! I also HIGHLY suggest people to call the Port Arthur Petco as we have done to report these people. We have talked to managers
there and have been told that as of right now they have A LOT of community support therefore are not taking us seriously. Also I would NOT be surprised if after I post this, posts are made completely disputing EVERYTHING I am saying as many people have boughten small exotics through them and HAVE HAD a good, positive experience with them not knowing how they really operate. Before you judge, do some research on them and on SACHA BOREN and you will find other people like us that have had similar experiences as well as pet ads and buying/selling ads by her. Most of them have already been removed since she now operates "secretly" through private
brokers that list her animals for her for very small fees and sell them across the country so no one can detect that this is her doing this. She has lots of very rare and expensive baby exotic animals on her facebook and the company facebook that she claims are "Rescues". There is no way that someone spends thousands of dollars on these animals then gives them to
her for free. She is buying and breeding them. Many are kept in small cages on her own personal property which is not inspected like her mini-zoo is. She "Adopts" out animals such as kinkajous for a selling price of over $2,000+ This is NOT an adoption fee, this is a selling fee and she is making money on them TAX FREE! We have screenshots of past pictures they have posted that they have no removed where they bragged about animals they have bought, bred and sold before they completely tried to change their story into a rescue. She also has small children in her home and some of these animals are aggressive breeds that should not be in the hands of small children that can get seriously hurt due to the numbers of animals in the home. This is so wrong and something NEEDS to be done about this, for not just owners who have been lied to, but also for the animals! They also need to be reported to the IRS for tax fraud since they are operating as a non-profit rescue while
breeding and selling animals and pocketing peoples donation money!
