Bill Pierre Ford ruined my life. What was to be my 49th birthday present turned into a disaster. I had repeatedly told them that I wanted a Focus, not a Mustang, like, why is it so hard to trade out of a 2010 Mustang into a Focus? We made a deal for $500 down and $405 a month, trading in my Mustang for a 2010 Focus SE that made me 100% satisfied. After a lot of glad handing and hand shaking, they ushered me down to the Money Mart where the original deal quickly vanished, and now they needed $3,000 at least to make a deal! Never in my life have I dealt with a company so dead-set against a customer except for Wild Tangent. Rather than eat their words, Bill Pierre Ford told me I had to bring the car back. This was in October, 2010, and four months later, they did the same thing again! They pulled the rug out from under me after we had made an agreement and I had signed the worksheet to do the deal! Turns out, Ford Credit did not want me having a car with a lower value-to-loan ratio, so they pulled the plug, but didn't tell the finance department until after the deal was made. That removes all other aspects from the equation, including my credit report. I walked in there with a 688 FICO, and thanks to these clowns shotgunning my credit report, I dropped to a 590! Can you believe that! Just asking for credit knocked my score down a hundred points and I never missed a car payment in 20 years! So, yeah, Bill Pierre Ford ripped me off big time. They ripped a done deal right out from under me. Complete with a solid, receission-proof job, time in area 43 years and 8 verifiable references, and STILL they would not eat their words and make the deal happen. Roger Botton, you are a disgrace to the customer service business and the Ford company as a whole. I told you if you let me walk away unsatisfied, the whole world would know about it. You never, never back out on a deal when you shake hands and the customer has come to you in earnest to buy a car. If your lenders balk, then it's on YOU to take it out of the dealership fund or your own pocket, I don't care, but you never let a deal walk, especially when your reputation and respect are on the line. Now, both are completely destroyed. Bill Pierre Ford did apologize, but they never made amends, and I never forgot their debacle, their lies and deceitfulness. I can take a yes, I can take a no, but hang it all, when you say yes, don't change your mind because of the finance department's incompetence! Now, what chance does Ford ever have of earning my business again? |
