I received an email regarding the sale of pure breed puppies that needed good homes with a low adoption fee. I wanted to get a puppy for my kids so it looked like a good deal at first. The supposed seller asked for my name, address, phone number, and asked if I was married how many kids did I have and if I had enough room for the puppy. Still it didn't sound too bad but I had my doubts. I contacted the seller and asked if before I purchased the puppy could they provide me with a signed contract for the sale of the puppy. Low and behold the seller seemed to be offended that I asked for a contract so that made me question even more what the intentions were of the seller. The seller sounded great they provided me with the name of the air carrier that the puppy was supposed to come by. I was told the puppy would be sent via petair delivery and that I needed to send the money today to either send it through western union or money gramm. Upon my last emial the seller got offended and even tried to preech the word of god that they would never lie to gain money for the puppy and that I should go right away to western union to send the money for the puppy. Still trying to believe that the seller was not a scammer I decieded to call the petair delivery company personally to find out if it was true in fact that this puppy was gonna be sent to me. Upon telling my story to the representative she explained it was completely a scam and this happens everyday. I kinda had my heart set on the puppy but I am glad that I took the time to make sure that I wasn't gonna fall victim as many do everyday. My advise is to do your homework and double check that your not being taken for a ride. Everything that was said to me sounded right but my gut instinct told me otherwise.
