Cell-Ware Ali Hardoon ,owner/operator Held My Cell Phone Hostage!! Wanted full payment with no Service Rendered Houston, Texas

I would like to start by saying, that I am a very reasonable person, also very open minded and fair. That being said this whole ordeal started on tuesday. I have an HTC Hero which is a sprint phone, now without getting too technical there is a process called flashing, and it's purpose is to use a branded phone (sprint phone) with another carrier (such as cricket), and there's a process too it, that gives you each feature, talk, text, and web. That being said, My phone was already "semi" flashed, with talk and text, all i had wanted was web access. Now the average price at most cell phone stores are between 20 and 40 dollars. I had taken my phone to another store called cell king, and paid them 20 to get my web working, and it worked. I paid and left, and then two days later my web stopped working. I took it back, and repeated the cycle one more time. Then the second time they fixed it, the next day it stopped working around lunch time. So I figured it might be something that THAT specific shop (cell-king) was doing, anyways so i looked around and found another shop called Cell-Ware. little did I know, So I called before hand, and explained to Cell-ware (the shop I'm reporting) what had happened with cell king. He assured me that he could get my Web working like it should, that it would be 45$ but that without a doubt, my web would be working, and it would be tested before it ever got into my hands. Those were his EXACT words. So I dropped my phone off, during my usual work hours, i took 30 minutes off, to go drop my phone off. Then I let them do their thing. I called him around 5, and asked him how things were progressing, he assured me that everything was going good. So I came to pick up my phone and to my surprise, nothing had happened, my internet still didn't work. nothing, I asked him what my options were since he couldnt' do it, and he said take it to a cricket store. So I start to walk out, and he gets my attention and says that I'm going to pay for it. The whole thing too, not like a discounted rate since it wasn't done but he still had worked on it, he wanted 45$ now I hope it's not me, but I thought that was REDICULOUS. The most rediculous part about it, is he didn't say pay me and i'll get it running tomorrow or i'll fix it or anything.I explained to him that nothing was done, and/or changed. He said that he still needed payment regardless. I refuse to think that he should get payed the whole thing. Now I would have understood if he wanted to make arrangements for some sort of middle ground and I would have payed him 20 or 25 bucks for the effort. But to demand full payment for something he didn't do, and then to tell me that I won't get my phone back unless I pay him. I just think that is down right un american. I wouldn't go to a restaraunt and order a hamburger, and then the watier brings me an empty plate and says "hey i cooked a burger for you, but it burnt so i threw it away" I wouldn't pay for that and neither would anyone else. I was so angry that this guy was trying to literally rip me off. I wanted to let everybody else know that this guy is not legitamate to do business with, he was unprofessional, and his demands were outrageous. I appreciate your time for listening to the events that took place, I just wanted to let everybody else know to steer clear of Cell-ware, I'm also in the process of filing a report with the better business bureau and any other organization with similar intent. I have NEVER filed any reports before because i always try and understand things from both sides, and usually after doing that, I calm down and realize that it's not worth the time, but in this instance it is very well worth my time, and I want to warn any future "customers" (more like victims) anyways Again thanks for taking the time to listen, and my only wish is that somebody would look into their bad ethics and unprofessionalism (is that a word? sp?) Thanks, Another Victim of bad ethics, and a bad store owner.
