Century Business Solutions Charged my credit card - almost $300.00; NEVER shipped my order - going back to October 14, 2010 o; Santa Fe Sprin |

I was a customer of Century Business Solutions for several years. The last order I placed was on October 14, 2010 - over a year ago - for photo insert pages. After a month or so, I called the company to find out the status of my order. I was told it was on backorder & would be shipped the following month. I followed up again & was told there was a fire at the production plant in Mexico & it would be several weeks before my order could be shipped. Every month I called, I asked for status updates & was told the same thing - the product was still on backorder. The company already billed my credit card for almost $300.00 (the actual amount is $297.86). I finally decided to cancel my order & requested a refund. This was on April 12, 2011. I was never given the refund. Again, I followed up every month as I did previously with my order status & was given the same generic response - either the product will be shipped within the next 2-3 weeks and then the check will be sent within the next 2-3 weeks. My last person-to-person contact was Charles Haffaway who was very polite & sympathetic to my situation. He was the one who told me all backorders were being filled - some even older than mine. I decided -believe it or not - to re-submit my order thinking it would be shipped within a few weeks. The 'new' order was placed on August 12, 2011 and since then, it has been deja-vous - only now, I cannot get through to anyone at Century. The 800 number goes nowhere & eventually the calls get dropped - all the time thinking "your call will be answered in the order it was received" recording. The option to have the company automatically call you back doesn't work. Charles' phone extension goes directly to voice mail - I've left him several messages- all calls never returned as well as other personnel whose names escape me. I thought I was alone in this until visiting your site on the web while researching Century's website and found very similar stories. All I know is I'm out almost $300 for the past 13 months and feel I was cheated big time - and the fact I gave them a lot of business in the past & how I am treated now is very upsetting. |
