Charged $24.90 to may bank account for 14 months without my approval.

I realized a charge was coming out of my checking account for $24.90 every month. The name on the charge was "Income Protector". When I finally was able to get a phone number connected to the charge, the company sounded like a total scam and kept trying to tell me I was able to receive $100 for my last doctors visit. They said they were an insurance company and they had recorded proof of my signing up. I did not sign up and I never gave them my bank account information so I don't know how they got it. I'm going to have to change my bank account to get the charges to stop. The company has yet to call me back and let me listen to the alleged recording of me verifying the charges.

I lost a total of $350 to this company and I'm going to start looking for a way to get it back. I'm first going to contact the BBB, and then possibly a laywer.

It looks like there are a lot of companies associated with the name Chartis, and a lot of scams associated with that name. I don't know if it is the actual company that is taking the money out of my account or if the scammers are just using that name.
