Check Into Cash Lacks Intergity, Accountability and Ethics Cleveland, Tennessee

I have worked in the Financial Services Industry for 12+ years, a few of those in the Payday Loan business. A number of those years were spent working for Check Into Cash. To say this organization's best practices are unethical would be a gross understatement!

The interesting issue here is that Allen Jones is just the tip of the iceberg.

Others in this company, managed by intellectual adolescents compound the arrogance of their fearless leader, Allen Jones.

1. Frank Kramer, SVP Operations: He can actually pass for a family member of Jones; overweight, bald, arrogant. His limited educational background perpetuates his irresponsible system of management. Notice I say management, not leadership. Frank couldn't lead a rat out a burning paper bag!

Since Kramer is an officer of the company he has fiduciary responsibilities to the corporation and the employees.

The company has an internal rule concerning family members and the chain of command. A person in a leadership position cannot have a direct family member reporting to them. That is unless you are Frank Kramer. You see he promoted his sister, Sue Schuler to the position of VP of Operations; she reports directly to Frank. He oversees her performance, reviews and salary. ( Nice if you can get it ) This is in violation of his fiduciary responsibilities as an officer of the company. Doesn't see to matter to Allen Jones; other executives lack the intestinal fortitude to make a formal complaint; this would include the VP of Human Resources.

Next would be his 3 VPs. Mike Steimel, Eric Johnson and of course Sue Schuler. I ran into a colleague last week and he mentioned that their collective name within the inner circle in the corporate office was, "The Kiss Ass Trio". You see at least Steimel and Johnson live in fear of Kramer's rants. You have to remember Kramer works in an environment that is literraly unchecked. His lack of basic intelligence and the benefit of a formal education affords him an open field toward an end zone of disrespect!

Yearly we would go on a business trip with our spouses to relax and enjoy some time aways from the day to day pressures of our schedule. These trips were actually worse than our daily jobs. Forced to recreate with intellectual zeros, dine with them; a severe case of herpes would have been a more welcomed experience.

Steimel was a character all to himself. A man trying to determine his overall existance in the business world. A barker, screamer, an intimidator. The so called "man" derived his management style from the early 50s. Never a supporter, never an partner, never a mentor and always in judgement of each of your decisions. He thought he had all the answers. His region was more often that not, last in the company for overall profit production. Oh, just to compound his lack of expertise he worked for Rent-A-Center. This is another stellar company that profits from the misfortune of others.

Johnson isn't worthy of comment, He spends more time at Kramer's house than he does with his family. If Kramed would stop short, Johnson's head would end up in Kramer's a**.

Schuler is an example of a person that has no value what so ever; personal or professional. Lunch comes early and the days end at 4 PM. She's a back stabber and has a direct line to her Brother, that would be ( Yes I know how to circumvent the laws of a corporation ) Kramer. Genetics also plays a part in her intellectial void. Employees kiss her ass ( and there's plenty of it ) because of fear of reprisal from Kramer. ( Oh, that would be her brother )

There is a common thread here that may go unnoticed by the fortunate not to have worked for this company. Alan Jones, Kramer, Schuler, Steimel......doesn't it sound a bit JEWISH? Poor Johnson; but he's probably converted to save face. Thick as thieves with middle eastern ethics.

So, as you can see by this testament, negotiating the maze of Check-Into-Cash was a real challenge. I can honestly say there wasn't a moment I enjoyed at this company.

To say this organization has incestual overtones would be an understatement. It would be like kissing a woman that was tongue tied; is she actually excited, or is it just that she cannot control the use of her tongue.
