Check out the other complaints against Southridge on apartmentrating.com, whitepages.com, etc. They also have a roach problem that was uncontrolable. BE AWARE!!! They tried to take all my security deposit even though my apartment was clean when I moved out. They wrote false claims on my move out settlement so they could have an excuse to rip me off. They tried to rip me off and charge me $300 (which I refused to pay) plus keep all my security deposit. They turned in a false claim into a collection agency. I took Southridge to court and won. Southridge showed false photos of other tenant's apartment to try to prove there case in court, but it appears the judge believed in my 7 photos. Southridge had to return my security deposit, pay court cost, pay 5 months of interest because they did not pay for 5 months after judgment, Southridge also had to pay other fees I incurred trying to collect on the judgment against them. I had to file several motions in court because they would not pay the judgment. The judge kept sending them notice to pay. Southridge would not pay. So judge warn them about arrest. Finally they paid 5 months after the judgment. They could have just simply returned my $300 deposit. But they ended up paying over $650 total. That shows how compentent the manager is in running a business. The manager causes the business to loose money for not using common sense. When I moved out of Southridge apartments, I took 7 pics of my clean apartment. There was NO trash and I vaccumed the carpet before I turned the key into the management office. (I took pics because I did not trust the manager because months before he disregarded the law and my rights and tried to enter my apartment without notice for non-emergency issue with a key. He was with the maintainance man so they could alter a bedroom window. I was in my nightgown when the manager unlocked and opened my door. I was upset and the manager errogantly said he could enter my apartment anytime. I would not let him in because I knew the law and my rights. He said he was going to write me up for not letting him in so I shut the door in his and maintenance man's face. I reported the manager to his boss and consumer affairs. He have no power and could not write me up. He was the one violating the law and my rights as a paying tenant.) The manager's boss said it would not happen again and she was going to talk to him. It doesn't appear that the manager is competent in managing a business. Also, if you do not want to live with roaches, I suggest looking for apartment else where.
