I have been fooled and lied to by Citi mortgage!!! I lost my job and several times i tried to get a modification and was denied (even though I was collecting unemployment) for various reasons for three years! Because unemployment does not provide a nine month letter of benefits, only six month verification they were able, therefore Citi mortgage denied my proof of income for modification!!! They put me in foreclosure, took me out of foreclosure. And again put me in foreclosure, then sheriffs sale. They will not allow me to make mtg payments for over two years, while they had me on foreberance payments, and then still kept denying when I completed them. I ask repeatedly to let me make my mtg. payments when I was able, and denied me to do so. By now I had fallen so behind I have to pay up front all the reg, mtg. payments from the past for them to consider me keeping my home!!..why did they just let me pay money to them before I got so behind? they have lied, lost much of my information, and put false information on my records. I have had Credit Counseling Services( A legal service that helps homeowners in distress), in order to make sure I did everything right by citi mortgage. I followed Citi mortgage procedures, and all they did was deny they got all the paper work, or deny that I tried to follow their procedures to save my home!..All they did was make me more, and more behind on my mtg. payments!
