| My name is Angela **** Iam a lpn in volusia county & have been for about 8years..several years ago I was contacted by the college network r/t advancing from a lpn to rn @ home I accepted they gave you three days to cancel which I attempted to do only to get no return calls & hung up on one time after the three days they told me my contract was binding so I attempted the courses assuming I had no other choice at this point the courses were impossible I grad Daytona State with a 4.0 & I hardly made a 73% on the one test I took which the study book for was massive.. I did pay the monthly fee for several months n then ended up canceling my checking account I have not been contacted by the college ntwk or loan service or a collection agency in this matter since then until yesterday I got a message and spoke with today eddison escott & assoc # 678-681-1472 who said that they had given me a meed. by the name of sara montgomery an attorney in fla ga & ny who handles these cases pro-bono and that the college network had taken a government loan in my name for over ten thousand dollars to cover the cost of books and that I had put my LPN LICENSE UP AS COLLATERAL! I can promise you as a single mother who works very hard to support myself and my son I WOULD NEVER KNOWINGLY PUT MY LPN @ RISK! They also told me that if I did not let them help me settle this matter with in three months or less after I lost my lpn I would go to jail..I let them call my mother for help they said they could put a hold on a 3rd party credit card with out needing her banking info that she would receive a monthly bill at her address in my name that I could pay off they also knew all of her open accounts it was a three way call that I heard them telling her some of her personal info she refused to help & after she hung up the attorney told me she could have if she wanted to they then looked up my grandmothers name told me she had a sears card that would work I told them my grandmother was just put in a nursing home they told me that I had to take care of this today that I was going to be put in jail today that they knew a judge in volusia county they looked up the nursing home number for my grandmother my grandmother has no credit cards they were wrong.. I asked if I could do a wage garnishment they said no because it wasnt gaurenteed I called the fla board of nursing who told me that my lpn could be taken for loan default there was a law passed a few years ago..they took my debit number and recieved a payment today of 3250.00 which was supposed to go towards my sons college classes at seminole state nxt semester..he may have to skip nxt semester due to this they said the payment went to Integrity mngment group I have a conf. # Iam still due to pay them either 2750.00 by the end of April or 3750.00 by the end of may.I have told my job that I have to work every shift aval .I have told my son that with his pt job he has to pay our elec water cable Im having my cell phone shut off the 5th and will use my sons for work and to talk to this attorney I will have to come up with this money on my own there is no one that can help me I will hopefully be able to do that and pay my rent im not sure at this point I know that I will attempt also to pay my car insurance but not my car loan I realize that I signed a contract I dont believe its fair that I should loose my education and my license because I was not smart enough to have a attorney look at the contract before..I know that today I have come across several complaint boards of nurses that are going thru the same thing I have filed a complaint with the bbb & Iam attempting to contact the lender personally that I finally got the name of from the college network..Thank you for your time & help, |
