I have received two emails in response to a room that needs attending. the first email is [email protected], and the second is [email protected].
here are the two emails. the first from "Sarah ross":

These emails seem to fit with the location and such, however once searching for [email protected], i found this email, which seems to be a hybrid between the two above emails, rendering them all fake, and all scams. | Very good, I'm glad I checked online, I got the exact same response word for word for a room I recently advertised on Craigslist in August except for the name and dates, name given is now Benita M Johnson, even sent the picture e-mail, but became very evasive and repetitious when I asked for more information before I could give "her" any of MY contact info. I got the same one lol but i was very close to believing it till i got this email.
Hello,
I just got a notification from my Financier that the check of
($2, 950) will be delivered to you today and here is the FEDEX
tracking number provided by them (8681 3845 1095) .and a short note
with an Email address could be included with the payment concerning
the payment secure department, Never bother to email them, they
only want to know if the payment has delivered to you successfully
I will be in the state sometime around next-week because i've
been checking to see the next available flight for nextweek, i will
let you know exact date and time i will arrive to the state, so once
you have the payment just get it deposited with your bank and once the
funds are available, you are to deduct the $750 and make a transfer
of $2, 000 via Western Union Money Transfer to the person in
charge of the delivery of the furniture and my car because i want
the delivery to be made before my arrival so that i can settle in
comfortably .

BUT!! the check will take about 10 days to clear. or at least that's what i have heard. I do not plan on taking money from my acct till i know 100% that the check sent is legit and real. there are way too many scams out there for me to make such a stupid mistake as to give away 2000.00 that i don't have.
so as soon as the check is confirmed real and legit and will then follow through with it. so just so you know 100%
I WILL NOT BE TRANSFERRING ANY KIND OF MONEY NOT EVEN A CENT WITHOUT KNOWING 100% THAT IT IS REAL.
so if there is even a 1% chance that this is a scam just know that every thing will be checked out prior to anything being done.
if this is real you have nothing to worry about.

| I received a similar email..from angela smith. I was hesitant when she told me she was from the UK and her financial consultant would be handling the rent payment. She said she didn't have international calling which drew a flag cause how is she contacting a consultant in the states without international calling. She asked for my full name address and email address numerous times. I responded to the email give me ur info and I'll gladly give u mine (which I had no intent on doing) and haven't heard back since. |
