credit card servises threatened to damage my credit history based on my 21 year old daughters debt newton, Massachusetts

CCS sent me a letter saying they would send in a negative report against my credit rating if I did not pay off my daughters delinquent account. My daughter is 21 , is of legal age , and is on her own. They took an older acocunt and tried to tell me if i did not pay of fmy daughters account, then , they would file a negative report to the credit reporting agencies, damaging my credit. I tried to expalin that I had nothing to do with the acocunt. My daughetr was and is of legal age and I had no repsonsibility. They would not listen. and they said, they would proceed with reporting me. They claimed if I did not respond, to their message, I was admitting to be guilty and responsible. that is riduculous. Why are they allowed to do this? Why doesn't the BBB or the legistalture stop this kind of harrassment.? this is unfair, its threatening and it should be illegal. I don't understand why they are allowed to do this and we have no recouse. We can't even fight them, and city hall ignores our complaints. I tried to conatct the BBB but they said they could not find CCS in the list or credited companies. Does something seem strange about that? yeah, it should. We need to find a place where we can process our complaints , so we are heard, and so we are not takin advantage of. Whre can we go? ...for help with fighting this kind of disreputable services.
