Overpriced, high-pressure sales pitch!

My partner and I went to one of their free cooking demonstrations in Vancouver area (Burnaby). The show was entertaining and the food was decent. The sales pitch was spectacular! Then at the end, the vultures swoop down and take you up to their office and nearly force you to pay >$3000 for fancy cookware. They promised free items and a "free" week for 4 in a 5-star luxury condo in a city of our choice. I asked them during the demonstration how often they do this show, they said 7-days a week. So when they took us up to the office - which by the way had fresh paint, no dust anywhere, and not one personal item anywhere, I told them that I wanted to think about it and would make a decision tomorrow. they went on to tell us how the manufacturer would only allow this one-time deal. So I expressed how I couldn't have confidence in a company that wouldn't allow me to make a rational, educated decision. They pretended to be offended when I said that.
When we tried to leave one of the "chefs" came in and attempted to strong-arm a "deposit" out of us and would allow us to take home one-peice of cookware. I took back my ID that they had on the desk and bailed! After reading the reviews, testimonies and looked into their Travel Partner, PTS Travel based out of Florida, I'm glad I got out when I did! What a scam! Do your research people! Don't be pressured into anything in life.
