Well, I'm not sure where to even begin... Don't get me wrong, the Kirby is a great product, and it does work. If I had the oppurtunity to buy one, I probably would. Also, I'm not sure about the Kirby Company as a whole, so I wouldn't say this is directed towards the whole company. I do know that once you open your own division, you can run the show however you want. ANOTHER thing, I do (unfortunatly) still believe in the Kirby "oppurtunity" and that you can make a living selling vaccuums. I also believe that you have to have no respect or compassion for other people in general. It's crazy because the longer you work there, the colder your heart gets.. So, just as other complaints, I was promised a salary blah blah blah. But honestly, after my experience, I could care less about the empty promises. These people at the office are just cold hearted, blood sucking con artists. I sold machines my first day, my second day, and then was promoted. My "promotion" included loss of AC, food, and pretty much any social intereaction besides asking these poor people to let me in there houses over an over and over and over for HOURS. I remember towards the end actually being upset everytime I made an appointment, because the realization would come that it really made no difference to me, I was still going to be outside in 100 degree weather no matter wht happened. They send you out with a lunchable, a bottle of water, and a prayer someone is dumb enough to let you in. I was sunburned on top of sunburn. I literally had 2nd degree burns and my boss made it into a joke for the whole office. Melanoma runs in my family, so to me it wasnt very entertaining. And yes, I've heard of sunscreen people, but no, obviously, it didn't work. These people really have no compassion for other human beings. If your not working for them, youre a failure. If someone quits or even just misses a day, all their personal business is announced in the morning meetings. And the big picture really is, if you make them money, they like you; if not, then they hate you. The kinds of people Daniel surrounds himself with to work for him amazes me. Drunks, crackheads, pillheads, everyone is sleeping with everyone. It's crazy. But through it all, the chant remains the same, BE POSITIVE! haha positive for some disease maybe... My supervisor was a tattood up, alcoholic that if I ever saw her at my door, I would never even open it. She would drink on the job, going to happy hours and margarita bars across the Houston area. Leaving people to wait outside for hours before she'd decide it was time to get them. One night she was so plastered, she screamed and cussed at me for the entire hour drive home. She claims that she had to move over here because back in her home state she'd get into some sort of trouble. Extremely violent, cold hearted bitch to put it lightly. She used the job to cheat on her common law quite frquently, and lived in a shabby apartment in a not so great area of Houston. Can anyone say Kirby oppurtunity? I was actually bitten by a dog once, quite severely, and she dropped me off for another hour to make more appointments with a bloody leg. The office even refused to pay for any care for my wound, which I have pictures of from the day and 3 weeks later. But I still came to work and did my best, because they make you believe you dont need anything else but Kirby. The top dealer in that office is a real life crackhead. No teeth, looks 60 at 39, and has a 19 year old canvessor pregnant. Oh, and she still smokes cigarettes at 5 months pregnant. REAL classy people working there. I ended up losing my family for the hours, my apartment from the lack of consistant money, my furniture from lack of time to move anything out (if you miss a day, they won't pay you), and I almost lost my daughter for being at work too much. The ONE day I missed, I had missed because I wanted to spend the day with my daughter, I got text message after text message trying to guilt trip me over it. Telling me I should call a babysitter, and that they wouldnt pay me blah blah blah. The only people that have been there longer than 6 months, and I'd say that's only about 6-7 employees, either are single, no kids, or just don't care about whomever they do have. And people who have found "love" are with other Kirby people, or like Mr. DCI himself, just found somebody that loves Kirby money as much as they do. And he's still cheating on her, so who cares whom or what she loves anyways. Honestly, the only reason I quit at the time I did is because I couldnt even afford a motel roof over my head. I had to move with somebody across town and right now, I'm basically starting over. But everything happens for a reason, and I thank God I'm out of that toxic environment and away from all those trashy people. I dont care how much money you have, you cant get rid of a bad stank attitude.
