Delta Airlines Abandoned, poor customer service, missed ship, no alternate plans or vouchers by Delta Atlanta, Georgia |

We took a connecting flight from Newark NJ to Atlanta GA on February 2010 and with time to spare. We flew into Atlanta GA to pick up our flight with Delta Airlines and once we got there all flights were grounded because of snow. The 2 inches of snow arrived at 2 in the afternoon. Our flight arrived in Atlanta GA at 8 in the morning. Delta did nothing for us, didn't put us on another plane, didn't have answers, didn't put us up in a hotel, nothing. Long story short, we rented a car to drive to Miami Florida to make a weak attempt to catch our ship (Royal Caribbean). We didn't make it. We drove from Atlanta GA to Miami Florida in a rental in record time however we missed the ship. Royal Caribbean had received hundreds of calls from passengers like us that got screwed by Delta Airlines. We booked another cruise with Royal over the phone anyway and dealt with both companies when we returned home. Royal Caribbean is fantastic. Let's just say that they took care of us and we have no complaints on the other hand Delta refuses to do anything for us. We gave Delta a fair request for our expenses and they denied us outright. I am still writing and contact Noella M. Fernandes and advised her that I would be posting my complaint for all to see. I wrote to the president, Ed Bastian and Raymond Taylor another overpaid Delta employee. Delta refuses to take any responsibility for what happened. Totally their fault. I don't want to hear about cancellation insurance because according to Delta as they outlined in their email to us dated May 3, 2010 they have every right to cancel a flight for no reason. Can you believe that? I should have scanned that email and posted that too maybe I will! On February 5, 2011 an article on MSNBC.com came out about airlines like Delta freaking out over 2 inches of snow and how they are going to now issue travel waivers, waive fees etc. Continue fighting because corporations like these think that if they stall long enough we will give up. They haven't met me yet. I will continue to be outspoken about everything and anything and I can back up everything with documentation. I challenge any rebuttal and you better know what you are talking about. My freedom of speech is protected. Some companies think that by a lawsuit threat they can quiet you...well not me. |
