Stay away!! And do not trust internet reviews. I had to learn the hard way. I had a breast lift by Dr. Walden that came out atrocious. I looked absolutely mutilated, or as I sometimes have said Mrs. Frankenstein. I was nave and trusting and assumed she knew what she was doing. Its hard to comprehend but after a breast lift with Dr. Walden my left nipple was lower then before I ever had surgery. My stitches were taken out before my skin healed and as a result I had extremely poor healing encircling my entire nipple. The first time I looked in the mirror, I began to cry so I did not look again for 6 months. At 6 months Dr. Walden performed a 2nd full breast lift. I tried to communicate what I wanted. I felt as though Dr. Walden spoke another language and did not truly grasp what I was trying to achieve. She came closer after the second surgery; although my left nipple is still slightly low, considering how low she made it after the 1st surgery. And again, I had some issues with healing, but improved compared to the first surgery because my stitches stayed in longer, which is what my skin needed. Not ONLY do I feel Dr. Walden lacks skill as a surgeon and an eye for symmetry but I say this in all honesty, her practices and office lacks integrity. My medical records just happened to omit all of my dissatisfaction with the surgery, and did not contain any information on my poor appearance as a result of wound healing issues. Instead things were somewhat glossed over and excuses were made for my dissatisfaction. And it was very apparent the progress notes were written in a way to protect Dr. Walden. When I requested my medical records after the 2nd surgery, a few pictures were coincidentally missing. I remembered additional pictures were taken so I emailed her Physicians Assistant , and she gave me an excuse that the pictures I were referring to were archived and she happened to not include them...interesting. In one progress note, Dr. Walden wrote something like I spent 45 minutes personally speaking to patient today". Well, I'm very glad she "personally" spoke to me. That was very nice of her. She often seemed in a rush to head off to her next patient. She also answered my questions quite vaguely. When I asked her what will happen to the open wound areas on the top & bottom of my breasts, she replied "They will look better & better". She was also not consistent in her responses. After the first surgery, she initially said my left breast did not sag and that was natural for it to look that way. But later, she agreed with me and performed the entire breast lift surgery again a 2nd time. After the first surgery, I was left with open areas; there was a moist dressing that eased those areas. Dr. Walden's office stopped supplying me with the moist dressing, so I had to make several trips to the medical supply store to purchase a moist dressing so to comfort skin that was not healed right. I don't know if it is a result of undergoing 2 surgeries, but after the second surgery, I have developed on & off rashes all over my breasts. At times, they have irritated and itched me so much; it has woken me up in the middle of the night. Now I am looking into having the second surgery corrected. Please....if you are considering cosmetic surgery, take your time in choosing a Doctor, it is a very important and life changing decision. There are so many doctors out there, and I do believe some doctors are skilled, caring and honest. I made a mistake by picking a doctor too quickly based on internet reviews. The decision to have Dr. Walden perform my breast lift surgery has been a decision I have regretted almost every day.
I say this in all honesty, Dr. Walden lacks integrity, skill, a personal approach, and an eye for symmetry. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
