| I have been with this company for three years trying to get my student federal loans out of debt. However, this company has treated me with disrespect and never tried to get me a resolutions to help me out of debt but only kept me in debt by staying on this twenty dollars a month plan and saying that was the only option I had because of my income as I am not working and I am in school fulltime going to an online college called Ashworth and I am taking Criminal Justice as my degree. And my husband is a maintenance tech. So our income is very limited. The company would never offer any forebearance or any other alternatives but to keep paying the twenty dollars. They told me after nine months of paying this twenty dollars I would be eligable for a forebearance plan. But somehow that never did come around. I never skip any payment. However, the company complained that I did and that I never gave them a proper address or would let them know where I was. I felt that I had the right to protect my personal information so I did not give them my address. I allowed them to take money out of my debt card that was all. They got upset with me because I would not let them control all of my personal information so without my notice they offset my federal income tax this year saying that because I did not give them my personal information they felt that I was ignoring there regulations. But I was not. I have a right to protect my personal information. And this outraged me that without my notice they would offset my tax in the amount of $2,149.00 and they also kept complaining that I was missing my payments. But I was not. So this upset me very much. I had tried to work it out with them asking to challege the offset. But they denied this right to me saying that because of my missed payments they could not accetp my challenge and gave me a very nasty letter. So I stared to complain about them to every agency everywhere including the White House, Minisota City Mayor, FBI, Here, and numerous other places in hopes that someone would help me to get this issue resolved. I also wanted to consolodate my outstanding student loans with William D. For's company Direct Loans and they denied me that also and gave my personal account information without my knowledge to a thirth party collections agency known as GC and gave me a phone number 866-827-9670 and told me that the account was no longer with them now but with GC. So in frustration I am writing to you all in hopes to find a quick resolution to my issue. This company is a total ripoff artist, con artist, scamers, larcenist, federal felons to the max and this company should be banned from existance! |

| I am sorry to hear that you are still having trouble, so am I. Have you ever paid Educational Credit Management Corporation or ECMC by check? I know it may be personal to get a copy of the front and back of your check, yet it is really important information. If you have paid them by check, this information could help everyone affected by them, if you could please give me a copy of the check or the specific information explaining whom you wrote the check out to and who their bank is, this could change things. This is extremely important information to receive as I have factually pertinent information regarding this corporation which could help all of us. If you are interested please re-post a comment and if you have this check explaining exactly who you paid it to, it would be great if we can figure out how to exchange the information. If not, do you know anyone else who paid them by check? It is really important to find out who they are banking with or what banks they use. Do you or anyone else out there know?
