Consumer reviews and reports on scam companies, bad products and services
eGlobalElectronics Buyer Beware, this company intends to rip you off and sadly it was a company suggested by Amazon.com Coconut Creek, Florida
6th of Jan, 2012 by User936608
I purchased 3 tablets and accessories for Christmas gifts for my grandchildren. Since I am on a fixed income, I decided to get one nice gift instead of several. I searched through Amazon.com for what I was looking for and was directed to this company, eGlobalElectronics. I found what I wanted and ordered online on November 28th. Shipping was promised in 7-10 days. When I didn't hear from them by the 11th day, I contacted them via email to find the status of the order. I eventually after a few days received a notice that they received my email and would get back with me in a few hours. Days went by and no contact from them so I emailed several more times. I went to the website and got a sickening feeling when the website wasn't available...just a note...."we will be back". I then panicked and researched the company more and found many complaints of fraud, either not being shipped, being shipped broken, etc. I called my credit card company and cancelled my card because I was afraid of them using my card. I called the company and was told they never got my emails....I have the computer generated email that says they did. I asked when they were going to ship and amazingly it was that day.....not....it wasn't sent until the 19th. Then I got email saying UPS had tried to deliver at a certain time and date and I was there the entire day, in plain view of the front door....no UPS. When it finally arrived it was by priority mail received on the 22nd and another package on the 24th as we were leaving to go out of town for Christmas...I requested the order cancelled on December 11th and every day after that and wanted confirmation but none was received. I had to go to another store to get the tablets and received them in 2 days after ordering them so I would have something for the kids for Christmas. I watched my credit card account and was shocked to see that they billed my cancelled card which I contacted the company and asked to do a fraud report on the situation. I received an email telling me I was harrassing their staff with my emails that they supposedly hadn't received. They were "insulted" that I would contact BBB and report them. If it was a matter of delay in shipment because of the Christmas season, I would have been understanding but after finding out other people had been scammed by them and their refusal to answer emails, and my credit card being compromised I have to warn others that this company isn't one to deal with.
