I paid for Elias n Sakalis law firm to do our loan modification for us,we sent them all our personal info,this has been going on for the last seven months,an nothing has happen to help us yet,the last three weeks i have been calling everyday an leaving a message,for RON BIRCH nobody calls me back now an they dont even answer the phone anymore,i had gone three months with out paying my mortage,do to there advise, now i see most likely had been ripped off now i dont know what we are going to do. monique

Monique, I went through the exact same thing. I kept on paying on our morgage though luckily :) I don't know what to do at this time either, I paid them $2, 000 and have been trying to get my money back. Since they have obviously done nothing to help us out. I finally contacted our lender on our morgage and they stated that they have no paperwork from them. They told me to do a modification I could do all the paperwork myself. I plan to go this route, You might want to talk to your lender.

| I believe that Monique Chick wrote this before she started communicating with me and in fact she has been approved for a Mod Trial Plan under HAMP and is currently making Trial Payments. I still call on her file every ten days and I will be reviewing her final Modification which I hope will be issued shortly. Ms. Chick was trying to reach me at an improper number and this caused a delay in her services but I am pleased that she was able to finally reach me and that I have been able to provide her withg these services. Her claim that no work as done by me is completely incorrect, I keep track of every call I make and letter I send. In fact, Ms. Chick one promised she would write a retraction but failed to do so. My fees are very reasonable since I charge a flat fee for hours of work rather than charge by the hour. I do not offer refunds and there is no reason to do so in this case even if I did offer refunds. Services were performed and it appears as though a final modification will be issued. Thank you |

Regarding Kelly Madrid, she only recently contacted me by email. I formally secured documents for her and a complete application was sent in. Her Lender informed me that a decision was about to be issued but Ms. Madrid just cancelled her application and told me the Lender's agent (who works for the Lender) told her she should refinance. Therefore, after spending hours on the file and updating her file on a weekly basis, Ms. Madrid stopped the process without asking my opinion. I stand ready to assist her if she wishes to resubmit. The fact is, I have been an attorney for 20 years and most lawyers charge far more for these services. My fees are quite reasonable and I have performed the services I agreed to perform on her behalf. She has not right to complain. Clients should not have trouble reaching me, all clients were notified when my address changed and my current office number has been my main number for 15 years. I stand ready to complete the process if Ms. Madrid cooperates. Ms. Madrid is free to seek a Modification on her own but most clients who have have not met with good results. I have many clients who have told me horror stories about their dealings with Lenders. I am currently processing 50 clients for Modifications and all of them are being serviced and processed. Both of these clients have made untrue claims about me. Thank you.

I have no relationship to NFS Solutions or Ron Birch. I am an attorney in Bronx County, and my areas of practice include: Real Estate; Foreclosure Defense; Bankruptcy and Debt Collection. I appear in all major courts and represent clients in mortgage foreclosure actions. I have secured Loan Modifications for many clients and I am currently processing around 50 Loan Modification files from my office. I call and update files every week, routinely update the clients and offer prompt service. I also served Construction Companies and conduct closings for Lenders. The Loan Modification process is very time consuming. I have clients who were approved in three months, some that were approved in ten months and some that I have submitted several times for Loan Modifications. I also have clients who fail to promptly respond to me or give me documents requested by the Lender. This also delays the process. The Bank requests information anfd only when it is all received does the review actually begin. The Lenders are also under investigation and this also delays matters. I have clients who have been in court for two years seeking Modifications so a one year delay is not surprising. People should also understand that since I charge a flat fee, the longer the process takes the more I am working for free. I understand the frustration people feel but the clients who have been with me for years know that I am committed to assisting them. | I went through the EXACT same thing!!! I started my loan modification in June of 2010. They wanted the $1900 up front before they did anything! I was only able at the time to pay $1000 up front. Ron Birch blew my phone up within 2 weeks wanting the remanding balance ( which I paid)! Once the balance was paid, I heard from some weasel sounding guy a week later (which left a message on my phone) that said " as of yet we have heard nothing from you bank and until we do we won't contact you and please dont contact us"! I still to this day have that message saved on my phone!! Well after leaving hundreds of messages and waiting over 7 months never hearing from anyone, I did a little investigating. I did discover on the internet (gotta love it) Mr. Sakalis' cell phone number ( which will be posted at the end of this comment for those of you who would LOVE to chat with him ). It only took 5 phone calls for him to return my call. In which he did decide to go through with my loan modification. It only took one phone call to the bank!! However if all he had to do was to make "ONE" phone call to the bank, why in sams hell did I go 7 months without hearing from anyone and after leaving 100's of messages??? I'll tell you my theory!! If at any time you are in the process of going through a loan modification (which means when you first contacted "The Law Offices of Elias Sakalis"), you recieve a raise or more money of some sorts, you are no longer eligable for the modification!! Thats' why I believe he waits soooooo long to return anyones phone calls! All he can say is sorry and your out $1900 to $2000!! You're getting more of a salary now nothing I can do! That is his way around the system! Which means you don't even get any KY while getting screwed!! You get it dry!! He did actually go through with my modification in September of 2011. My only problem was when I first called I was told My payment should be around $845 a month and I was paying $1350 a month (who would'nt want to try and save $400 a month). I thank the good lord recieved a salary increase in October of 2011 (that's what he's banking on). When I called Mr. Sakalis to see if I still would be eligable for the loan, he laughed and said "NO"!! I then asked if I needed to do anything and he said "HE" would contact the bank and let them know that I know longer needed the modification. Well here it is April 2012 and I find out today that My bank has declaired my mortgage 150 days late to the credit bureaus!! Because once again Mr. Sakalis didn't do what he said he was going to do!!! So I'm in a living hell with the bank currently! Only thing I have on my side is a 3rd party pays my mortgage and they have records that I've always been on time with my payments and have paid the full $1350!! This is one of the biggest SCAMS I have ever seen in my life!! And it sucks that this jerk wants to rob people that are already broke!! If you have dealt with what we all have, I'm sorry for your loss!!! If you'd like to contact Mr. Sakalis and give him a piece of your mind; I mean talk with him, you can gladly reach him at 7 one eight- six 0 one- 6 two 8 two or nine 1 4- eight eight 2- 6 seven three one!! Good Luck!! And never use this jerk for anything!! Do your research and contact the BBB before using anyone! And it wouldn't hurt to contact them (BBB) about your experience!!! |
