emmccormack.com Erin Michael McCormack Accused of STEALING money from clients Salisbury, Maryland
15th of Jun, 2011 by User166904
Local Attorney Accused of Theft of his Client A Maryland attorney Erin M. McCormack of Adkins Potts & Smethurst, LLP is finding himself on the wrong side of the law after he allegedly spent money that was supposed to be given to a crime victim. The victim's name is Blane Farrel, a well-known Realtor. Not only did he successfully pursue charges against an employee who worked for him for six years, now he finds himself at odds with the attorney who represented that woman. When a judge ordered Jamie Trulle to pay back more than $40,000 she had stolen from her former boss, Farrel thought his nightmare was over. "I thought the money was going to be handed over to the restitution fund immediately as a part of her getting out of jail," Farrel said. But after he found out where much of the money would end up, he was floored. "People will do anything to survive," said Farrel. On Monday, Trulle was called to court for allegedly failing to pay back restitution as promised, but just as she was going to be hauled back to jail, the prosecutor heard from Trulle's boyfriend, who produced receipts of payments she had made. Faced with the new evidence, Trulle's attorney, Erin M. McCormack, made a stunning admission to the court. According to the court documents, he stated, "None of this is her fault. It's 100 percent my fault. She deposited money into my escrow account, which I spent." We spoke with Trulle's new attorney who told us that she is cooperating with the District Attorney's Office to possibly bring charges against McCormack.

COMPLETELY FALSE
This report has been filed by an individual named Clifton Stults who i filed a report against through the website RipOff report (http://www.ripoffreport.com/toy-stores/bricks-and-figs/bricks-and-figs-bricksandfigs-3aad3.htm). After speaking with Mr. Stults over the phone he threatened to "lie and say whatever it takes" to destroy my reputation online if i didn't pay $2, 000 to have the ripoff report withdrawn. I refused to do so, and this report is the result. I'm sure more are to follow. I'm currently drafting the legal documents to file against Stults. I'll update this site of its outcome.
While i hate to respond to the details of the report, Maryland has a free case search system at the following address: http://casesearch.courts.state.md.us/inquiry/inquiry-index.jsp. You can type in the name Jamie Trulle and see that no case ever existed against such a person. You can further type in my name (E McCormack) and see that I've never represented anyone by the name of Trulle. Also, Maryland doesn't have "District" Attorney's but rather "State's" Attorneys. Lastly, if there were some "well-known realtor" named Blane Farrell, he certainly could be found online. Apparently this realtor likes his anonymity.
Again I'll update this site of the results of my lawsuit against Stults.
