Enterprise Rent-A-Car False damage claim to rental vehicle San Diego, California
24th of Jan, 2011 by User670875
My wife and I took a trip to San Diego, CA and rented a Chevy Aveo from Enterprise Rent-A-Car (San Diego Airport) from December 27, 2010 through January 1, 2011. When we initially reviewed the car with the Enterprise agent, she said they are only concerned about golf ball or larger sized damage. She noted a golf ball sized dent on the left front door with an x on the vehicle inspection report. We signed the slip and went on our way.

We had a nice trip and returned the car in the same condition as we received it on January 1st, 2011. The male employee inspected the car and didn't mention any damage.

On January 15, 2011, we received a letter dated January 6th stating that some damage was observed and the Damage Recovery Unit requested an explanation. I e-mailed them the same day with the description I mentioned above. We never received a reply e-mail. On January 17th, we received a claim for $417.60 due to damage to the left door.

This damage was not caused by us and we were not informed of any damage when we dropped it off.

Elizabeth or someone else from Enterprise, can you please help us? We would greatly appreciate it!
