| Before I explain the threats I received from bouncers, rude service and overcharging at the here is a little background on the story. I planned a bday party for my wife at the envy lounge and wanted to do something special so I gathered a group of friends to afford the bottle service and vip area upstairs at the envy ultra lounge in fullerton ca. The deal was spend $180 on the bottle and agree to spend $350 or more on drinks before we leave. When we arrived earlier that evening around 9pm I was told to go ahead and order drinks and they'll make sure the drinks we spend go towards the $350. Around 10:30pm we were allowed to go upstairs my server Marcella had no idea of our arrangements with Louis and I explained we already spent money on drinks earlier and to make sure it will be applied to our $350. From the get go she had attitude saying they don't do that and she'll have to ask and stormed off which were warning signs for things to come. Issue was resolved and we move on.. With everyone dancing and drinks being spilled I ask for the floor to be cleaned up to prevent people from slipping. Along with not having are server get us drinks (I only saw her twice to ask if we needed drinks that whole night) she took forever to clean the floors. Sure enough my sister falls, my wife falls so obvious I'm upset I tell her to get dry towels not to use the same wet ones. She gets in my face screaming telling me "don't tell me how to do my job" "i'm getting my bouncer on you" she then runs off. shortly after bouncer approaches me in a hostile manner. Keep in mind I'm a small guy 5'9 150lbs (family guy with two kids, i'm not a punk teenager) He puffs up his chest, gets in my face wanting to start a fight and he'll kick me out next time. He made it very clear they have other people to serve not just me. Which I found shocking why are we paying so much to be disrespected and have no service. Later that night the bill comes and sure enough all the drinks my friends and family bought were not reflected on the bill and I would be liable for the remaining amount. Luckily I planned on this and made everyone give me their receipts before they left. While going over the receipts and billing Marcella continues her attitude in front of the manager and me. Not only does he allow her to mouth off but he allows another bouncer to tell my wife to "shut the f**k up." I tell the manager that's not appropriate and to tell the bouncer to leave but he allows him to continue. Bottom line is to overcharge. They tried to overcharge me, and in the end it wasn't about the money. It was more about the fact I planned this special day for my wife which was ruined by arrogant bouncers thinking they can do and say whatever they want. Also a waitress that has no idea about customer service because she's guaranteed %18 gratuity. Later I found out the owner of the envy ultra lounge in fullerton is in Jail for selling drugs which makes sense why the place is allowed to operate so poorly. I've read many online regarding envy lounge and seems a few other have issues. Worst night I've ever had going out in downtown Fullerton. My wife been limping all day today complaining about her knees when she fell and if doesn't get better will be seeking legal action. |
