What a scam!!!!!!!!!!
The salesman was good he was quite convincing we decided to go with his product which was a silver film insulation it all sounded good $10000 For 2 houses it was supposed to save at least 25% on the electric. There were a few slips by Pete but as I said he was good. The big white flag was when he said they were busy but when he got the credit card it was scheduled for the next morning.
After Pete left the wife turned to me and said "Have we just been had?"
Well with that I jumped online and lo and behold complaints allover.
Needless to say I called Pete's Cell and told him to forget it (he told us he was staying in a hotel) it was 1.30am and he was driving home apparently (another slip) he was a little peturbed but seemed OK. At 8am the next day somebody called from the office and tried to find out why we cancelled I just told him "because" he wouldn"t take that as an answer so I hung up immeadiately Pete called again and we explained it to him.
At 9.30 a small unmarked suv with 4 guys rolled up and tried to start work when we told them we had cancelled the night before they had no idea no calls from the office!!!
It now gets worse we called the credit card company and the charge had been posted approx 10 mins after Pete left of course we disputed and BOA SAID THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT THANK GOD FOR BANK OF AMERICA!!!!
The next morning at 10am a credit card prossessing company called and asked how we liked the work that had been performed and we told them no work had been done as we had cancelled it but apparentely that did not matter as they posted the charge to the credit card anyway we are currently trying to find which company this is (BOA will know). We also had to cancel the credit card too they write down all your numbers including the back numbers. So I can positively tell you do not use this company all it is is a scasm!!!!

l too had "Pete" and you are right..he is good..unfortunatlty l was stupid and fell for it...By mistake l gave him the wrong credit (debit instead of credit, our bank has just recently changed hands and the color of the credit card changed colour and being used to the old card color...l gave him what l thought was the right card, thinking l would have some recourse) ...as you said.. a van with workers arrived the next am and started work...l now have no way to cancel as the work is done..they emptied my checking account which i use for household expenses...l have not as yet noticed any difference in the electricity usage...infact when one of the workers came back to fill in a bit left undone and l complained that the attic was still terribly hot..he agreed and said it was due to the floor insulation being up against the air vents at the side of the roof..!!
Also "Pete4" showed me a brochere that stated that this product was energy star rated...which made me believe in the product, but there is nothing to that effect on the info they left me ...l am beating my self up over this $4.500 (down from his first price of $7, 000 +) as it is money we can't afford to loose on what maybe a worthless product.(we are old and retired)BE CAUTIOUS (this began with a free offer of paper )towels

The power of the internet. An amazing technology that allows for any person to write whatever they want to with no recourse. When in all fairness they do this because they speak behind the cloak of anonymity because they don’t want public admonishment when the REAL truth is told…not the media hype that is intended by their slanderous accusations!
In regards to perpetrator #1...This “customer” has quite the poison pen. He would like to insinuate that eShield is a company offering scam service. He unfortunately finds himself floating in a sea of ONE! EShield is a reputable company offering beneficial savings to 1, 000’s of customers…and this man alludes to there being tons of complaints online about us. Yes there are complaints listed but when you read them you will find it is him or her, the same perpetrator, that has cut and pasted the same memo on multiple sites; the same perpetrator that I am choosing to respond to.
Pete is a great representative for our product. We stand behind our promises for saving and we are a very busy business. I don’t know why this customer would find it shocking that we would want to install this product he purchased the following day after purchase… I personally wouldn’t want to spend $10000 and wait a week for installation. I would want my saving potential to start as soon as possible! This is the first time I have seen someone complain about NOT being inconvenienced.
He complains about an unmarked truck appearing the day after his purchase to install his equipment. We were able to open up several new routes that week (unbeknownst to Pete) because we were able to purchase several new fleet trucks that hadn’t been detailed with our logos yet; giving way to service our installation demands with ease.
This person alludes to scrupulous activity on his credit card. The finance manager ran the credit card the morning after purchase NOT the night before as insinuated, before the installers arrived, as WHICH business wouldn’t want the safety net knowing that the potential buyer gave valid payment terms for the $10, 000 in product. Most businesses WON’T let you leave with product in hand without having paid first! This customer takes credit for having cancelled his transactions with BOA as if there was a conflict over him getting his payment back. To be completely fair and truthful, BOA never had the opportunity to submit a payment dispute as the money was returned to the card before they could have processed the paperwork. The company that called to verify the installation was not aware of the cancellation, knew that it was installed and was calling in the best interest of the customer to ensure they were happy with the process so far. The whole cancellation process happened in the matter of a few hours. The customer is failing to accurately mention the time tables of any of the preceding events and alludes to this happening in a drawn out process when the entire occurrence unraveled and was resolved in a matter of less than 72 hours. We neither have nor will ever hold the money on a legitimately cancelled transaction!
In regards to Val in Orlando, EVERY customer has the same opportunity for cancellation. State of Floride provides you with three (3) business days to cancel in writing. As long as it is postmarked, it is cancelled if you request it. Whether the product is installed or not, we have to cancel the contract terms if you insist. By jumping on the bandwagon with the slanderous perp in the first online assault you left yourself open to ridicule yourself. YOU made an error in providing a credit card for payment and yet you hold US responsible for using money in that account? Doesn't seem much like you are a victim, but much more someone who wants to blame others for a grave mistake YOU CAUSED YOURSELF. Might want to be a bit more careful handing out your credit card information in the future! We only accepted what you offered voluntarily, and your insinuations are not only unjustified but morally impertinent as well! In addition to all that, did you ever call the office when you realized your mistake and ask to change credit card info to take payments out of a different account? As far as whether the product is energy star related as represented, have you contacted the office for literature? Maybe a simple call to the office might have resolved the issue for you in obtaining this information for your records instead of insinuating that the salesman lied to or mislead you because the word energy star isn't written on your finance terms or purchase order. The one truth I AM seeing in your blog is that you are beating yourself up. Maybe you have reconsidered your financial position after the fact, maybe you made in impulsive decision without weighing the consequences first. But is that reason to blast a company publicly? All because you are mad at your self for overextending finances? Seems to me there are two quotes in your blog where you admit to acting before you consider all the options. That isn't eShields fault!
And as far as ex-employee #3. The operative word is EX here...Nothing more really needs to be said. Internet blog sites are full of vengeful, spiteful exes that have nothing more to do than live in the past. Shall we discuss why you are not currently employeed or shall we discuss that you are illegally in possession of stolen equipment. Your position was terminated and yet you boast about maintaining possession of proprietary property. Training materials provided to you are not liabelous and are intended to be used to sell a wonderful product. You know there is nothing scandalous in your possession or you would have already submitted it to the "news" as you threw out there. eShield is a fantastic, money saving product and when presented by salesman that are qualified and good (the ones who retain their hiring positions) many benefit from it's existence! You are not in possession of any seedy little secret trade secrets as you may like others to think...you have none because none exist! We know who you are and now that we do have the proof necessary that you admit possession we will kindly ask that you return it, or we can send authorities out to retrieve it if you prefer. Say what you want about the trainers, you are not employed for a reason but I'm sure you would not like us to air your dirty laundry for you.
