i financed a veh with fairlaine credit in 2004 they repossessed my car because i was $53.00 short i contacted my attorney and he said if i wanted the car back i would have to do the bankruptcy where i paid everyone back i did that got my car back in 3 days, in the meantime i lost my job couldnt continue on with the bankruptcy contacted fairlaine credit in good faith to set up some type of payments i was told by the representative that they had no interest in the car so to me that meant it was my car free and clear never heard from them at all until i was pulled over by the police they impounded the car i didnt go back and get it because it needed a new engine all of a sudden out of the blue fairlaine started garnishing my wages for 18,000 i only financed the car for 10,000 my misunderstanding is if someone says they dont have any interest in something that means they dont want it i dont know what happened whether they auctioned the car off or anything never heard from them until i saw money taken out of my check i feel this is very unfair because they garnished my wages at my last job for about 2 years for 18,000 dollars and now i have a new job and they sent me a income execution letter saying the amount is still 18,000 dollars how can that be these people are ridiculous and need to be put out of business
