Consumer reviews and reports on scam companies, bad products and services
Ferreira Wells Immigration Services This Canadian immigration assistance company is a slick con. They victimize their clients. Toronto, Ontario

This company is very slick. They say that they will guide you through the process of applying for Canadian residency as a "Skilled Worker" and claim to have a high success rate. Their billing method should be the first tip off, you pay in stages as you sign on, when your application is submitted, and when you are either accepted or granted an interview by the Canadian authorities. Invariably, your final payment is when you are granted the interview, because no one is accepted without an interview. The con ends when you are sitting in the Canadian Consulate being ridiculed by an agent that informs you that you were scammed. That's when it finally dawned on me that all the little concerns that I raised with Ferreira-Wells months earlier, things that they assured me were no problem at all, not part of the review, etc, suddenly you find out of course they are huge problems. I don't think you can believe a thing Ferreira-Wells people tell you. Looking back on it they always said one concern after another were not problems. Age? No problem. Incomplete records of your income? No problem. Whatever the concern was, their response was to explain why it wasn't any concern at all. This was all in an effort to sign you up and get you to go ahead with a time consuming and expensive process for which they probably knew perfectly well you would never be approved. But, they put you through the whole costly and difficult process, and do very little to assist you, just to get their fees out of it. I'm not saying they did anything illegal, but I would be very cautious about believing anything this firm tells you. They are not credible. They are very misleading. They are only interested in doing as little work as possible and collecting their fees. One example, after a humiliating interview in Buffalo, David LeBlanc asked me to write up everything that I could remember that happened. He said he would move quickly and draft a letter to the Director of the Consulate objecting to how I was treated. But, in the end he just faxed over what I had written and sent him. Thanks for nothing.
