Fetishtoybox www.fetishtoybox.com Accusations of lying, lost items & Abuse of Ebay systems Internet

This is a company that sells adult toys geared toward BDSM. While their prices are so-so compared to others, you can find a bargain sometimes. This is nothing more than a china re-seller, that means all their products are bought wholesale from china and re-sold, so they actually create none of their items. They also sell through ebay, which is where I made my purchase. I purchased a chrome collar for my wife, cost was about $50. I paid promptly with PayPal and waited. They did ship very fast, and provided a tracking number. This is where the story actually begins.... If you look at their auction, it has three shipping methods, Economy, Express and Overnight. Express and Overnight both stipulate UPSP mail system, but Economy specifies nothing as a carrier. I chose Economy as I was not real concerned with how long it took. Also a note here, there was no insurance offered, nothing I could click on to add it and the word 'insurance' simply does not appear anywhere on their auction page at all. Now at this point I must digress to the United States Post Office and how they deliver things with tracking numbers. Apparently the moment the item is placed on the truck, it is marked as 'DELIVERED', even though it has not yet been. Well, somewhere between the truck and the post office box, my package vanished. Yep, the absolute worst thing happened, the package was lost yet marked Delivered. I contacted the seller and told them of the situation, asking how they wanted to proceed. Here is the reply: "I know that in the past when I have asked the local post office they have told me that the receiving party needs to file a claim with the post office. They won't let me do it on my end as they show the package scanned at the receiving city. It will come down to the last postal employee who handled it. " This is a boldface LIE. When I called the post office, they were puzzled as to why I was calling, they told me that the shipper, the one who paid for the package to be sent' was the one who was supposed to call and make a lost package claim. Well, I made a claim and then asked the seller what they indended to do now that the package was lost. I got this: "We don't insure packages unless requested. Normally the PO never loses domestic packages. Depending how you paid most credit cards will give your money back and charge it back to paypal then I believe paypal just settles it with the credit card company." Obviously this person knows nothing of how paypal works. If I did a chargeback, it would eventually get sucked out of HIS paypal account, but he seems to think it would not happen that way. Then 3 days later, I get this email from them: "I recieved an email that you did not recieve the collar? I checked the tracking and it shows this delivered. Is there a problem with the collar?" Now im really pissed. This guy seems to have forgotten about ever talking with me, now is accusing me of lying. Now I did write him back and got a bit pissy with him, as I am not a happy customer. He writes back the following: "Well at this point you are threatening me and I will let ebay handle it from here thank you. I shipped with tracking and delivery confirmation and UPS has lost several packages because they leave them at the door and someone steels it so I no longer use UPS if I can help it. I am sorry this happened but I can not hand deliver each item." Once again this guy shows how little he knows about his business. He did not ship UPS, he shipped cheapest possible USPS. Well, this is getting long, but the end result is that I disputed through PayPal, and sorta won. Since USPS screwed me over by marking as delivered, paypal could not refund my money from his account, but they did extend a credit to me of the full amount because they realized I was wronged and had proof. So I did get my cash back, but not from Fetishtoybox. Last thing that happened was the feedback on Ebay. I did leave an HONEST negative, the seller then complained and had it removed. I appealed the removal and was denied. Just a word to the wise on feedback: Do not ever mention the word feedback in an email to a seller, if you do then that gives the seller an open door to have it removed per ebay policy. The seller claimed extortion, and ebay agreed per policy and yanked my feedback. Though the ebay CS person did agree with me, she stated that my ebay account was not affected because the situation was in my favor, however they could not bend policy, so they merely deleted it. I guess the seller won this battle, he got to keep my money without delivering product and got his negative removed.
