FIDELITY WARRANTY SERVICES
FIDELITY WARRANTY SERVICES, INC. DAVID MAUS WARRANTY DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING AND BAD WARRANTY SERVICE DEEFFIELD BEACH, Florida
14th of Jul, 2011 by User459593
My wife and I purchased our VW CC sport in 2010 from David Maus VW of Orlando, where we were pressured to buy and bought an extended warrantly from Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc., of P.O. Box 8567 of Deerfield Beach, Fl. We found out after a year of owning our car, that Fidelityi had a very bad track record of supporting and honoring its warranty commitments "according" to what is written on the WEB about it. We therefore, decided under the terms and conditiosn of the Fidelity Warrantly Services, Inc., T&Cs to obtain a refund for the remaining pro-rata portion of our remaining benefit which we had paid $1776 upfront for....the remaining refund owed to us was $1137. Fidelity called us demaning additional documents which we supplied their very rude person by the name of "Annata" and the company has stalled...and stalled ....in giving us our money back which they are required to do under contract. Worse yet, this company really doesn't exist as a real firm. it operates under a P.o. Box out of a "mail drop" in Deefield Beach, FL, and the person they have assigned to work their claims is a contract employee of South East Toyota!! There is not Fidelity per se, except by corporate filing, other than the P.O. Box...so beware if you plan on buying and wasting your funds. Get a real company that deliverys and provides good customer service. We sure are disappointed by both David Maus and Fidelity. Hopefully, the State of Florida Department of Consumer Affairs will be able to help us get our money back. Buyer beware!!

I reported a complete failure of the electronic control module in my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid to Fidelity Warrant Services (800-327-5172) on Fri 6 July at 4:10 pm evaluated by Sheehy Ford of Warrenton on the same day and prior to repairs being made by dealership. I specifically asked the Service Manager at the dealership if there was anything I did in terms of driving that may have caused this and was told “no” by the Ford Service Manager. He stated it was unusual to see this in a 2010 vehicle. I called Fidelity Warranty Services and was told by a supervisor, after I got done talking to the initial customer service rep, that this ECM reprogramming was not covered. When I pointed out that under the Gold Plan (I had the Platinum, which includes all the Gold Plan coverage) on page 3 of Form D-100 specifically states ECMs are covered as are nearly all sensors, he stated that it only includes replacement of these items after mechanical breakdown. I pointed out that ECMs can’t break down mechanically, they are electronic and that this was a complete failure of the ECM, that it needed to be “electronically repaired” he stated that the warranty did not cover this. It was at this point I knew that there was no way this company was ever going to pay for this repair. At best this is simply deceptive and greedy, at worst it is just fraud. The bill will total approximately $300, I am still awaiting final bill from Ford.

Buyer be aware this company is bad news. Had a transmission go out of my 07 Titan this year 2012. Not only am I upset my "tough" Titan truck could only handle a mir 5 years of and 58000 miles of travel. "What a joke btw" I was even more upset that Fidelity refused to pay the claim. 3 years ago my instrument panel went bad. so my nissan dealer replaced it. Fidelity thought that the mileage on my truck was incorrect. So they basically call me and the nissan dealership a liar by not covering the bill. Luckily I had some loyal nissan service personal go to the war room and fight the battle with fidelity, for me. If we didnt win it would have went to court. Funny thing is I bought the best "Platinum" warranty they offered. With no deductible. Spent a fortune. Even took it to a certified Nissan dealer for 100% of my repairs just so this didn't happen. incredible... absolutely incredible that their not going to cover it. costing me over $6000.00 in repairs plus they never offered my a rental which it says in the contract RENTAL CAR. what a joke. i guess you can print anything these days. let me define that one a little more. they offer rental during the repair (read the small print.) so if the vehicle is in-operable (transmission) and the dealership orders the part. you dont get a rental until the tranny comes in. and we all know that a tranny doesn't come overnight. so you are out the cost for a rental car for 2 weeks. guess what 14 days renting a car cost. a freaking lot. i guess you could ride your bike to work everyday 30miles then home 30 miles. seriously this is no joke. here's my email if you dont believe this. [email protected] questions feel free to email me.
