| A marketing card was mailed to my parents from "Allergy Relief Center of Nebraska" advertising air filters and vacuum cleaners. They returned the card to find out what it was about. The sales person arranged an in-house high pressure demonstration that lasted for JUST SHY OF 4 HOURS. The vacuum apparently can do everything including forgive your sins ("indulgence" only for the price of $1900.00)... Upon my inspection of the item, I completely reject the product value and would put it in the $160.00 to $200.00 range. The plastic components are not very rigid with exception of the filter container. It looks modern and has a motor that sounds like it operates at very high RPM so I'm sure it has reasonably strong suction, but all Dyson's have that and their TOP END machine is $599.99. I looked and there is VERY LITTLE product information about this vacuum. The manufacturer site http://www.filtropur.net/ does NOT have much specification information on the product. Very immature and undeveloped web site... There are NO reviews by Consumer Reports (http://www.consumerreports.org) They have no review of Filtropur, FSV Inc., HMI Industries, or Health-Mor Inc. So now the product has an obvious design defect. The filter canister DOES NOT seal completely with the air input port on the front. The high pressure sent to the filter from the vacuum motor causes lots of air to escape the defective seal and you will see dirt, dust, and allergens (which they claim are completely removed) accumulate in this area on the vacuum and by deduction back into the air. What good does it do to remove dust and allergens from the carpet and put lot right back into the air where they will be breathed??? If they are going to advertise that it filters out 99.97% of 1 to 2 micron sized particles, how do they account for the % emitted back into the air before getting to the filter? What about refund? The product design alone is enough cause to return it right away!!! I don't believe there is any vacuum worth $1900.00 after seeing this piece of junk. Thanks for reading this and be super careful not to entertain in-house high pressure sales people. |

| Coatvrider have to say your comment is exactly what happen to us exactly... and we could not return ours after three days it was in the shop then with the same wheel end that melted and flew off because of the hair and also have to unplug the vacuum every time we use it because it cloggs now I am not that dirty or loose that much hair. Im sorry but I agree with you 1900 dollar rip off to us too.. |

I own two of these so called air purifiers & one of the vacuums they worked great for the first few months. Now i find out that if I want them to work closeto how they worked brand new I must spend about $145.00 every few months to purchase new filters (that price iseach not both purifiers) if you do not do this you might as well just unplug them as they are doing nothing. The vacuum is crap it is very cumbersome to manuver throughout the house & after a few months the thing began to loosen up so now it is wobbly. It has special screws so not just anyone can tighten it. I had a man at my home to cange something on the air purifier & told him about the vacuum he told me I have to bring it to the shop to be fixed it wouldn't cost that much. This vacuum also requires cone shaped filters & they recommend they be changed after EACH use. Do not fall for their story of what a good item they sell. We are out $3, 000.00 for these items and I would rather shoot myself in the foot than have them. As far as the high pressure sales people it all depends on the individual. Our girl was very good untill the sale point. She gave us the sob story how she would not get paid if we did not buy. Then she made the call to her boss (the owner) who by the way was sitting in a bar waiting for her call. He informed us he would give us payment without interest Ha. He set us up with a credit card.
This company stinks. I called to find out about getting the filters & was told the man who does that was out due to a family emergency so I would have to leave my name & he would call me when he returned. What a joke. |

Seeing is believing every vacuum out there says they are so great but there terrible oreck kirby dyson etc are defective in design using stone age technology they will not prove how well there product works and they do not prove that the filters do their job they are junk im a proud owner of the filtropur products for about 3 years now the SFS air filter works amazing keeping my house smelling clean and the vacuum works great throughout my home i replace my filters as often as the demonstrater recommended and I have had NO PROBLEMS if you arent smart enough to work the vacuum then hire a maid... Enough said.
That being said after about a year and a half of using these products I called and asked the boss nicely to have a employee come to my house and prove that the products are still doing their job with their fancy air partical counter thing and sure enough most of my home was reading very very low numbers after using them so long MY HOME IS CLEAN THANKS TO PROTECH IN CEDAR RAPIDS IOWA.
Change your filters learn how to use the products dont complain about them because your too dumb to use them properly. just like a car if you dont change the oil its gonna blow up sooner or later and not run... DUHHH |

| I own the filtropur and I felt the complete opposite. I had a young gentleman come out and he cleaned my entire house it seemed like. When I saw all the dirt that there machine pulled up I had to have it. I know it was alot more money than I am used to paying but its been so worth it because not only does my carpets look and feel better but my house smells better as well. I did have one issue with the machine and they sent a service guy to come out and fix it that very day. Very happy with my purchase and what these machines can do. Also happy with the service. Great company to have protecting my house from dirt. |

| You are a moron if you think it is only worth $160! Whats worth more? A plastic vacuum that actually works or a heavy duty machine that throw dirt and dust back in the air defeating the purpose, like a Kirby. I will gladly by the vacuum for $200 if you are will to sell. |

Our story is the same as many here. Deceptive phone call tactics to get an appointment at our house. I accepted because I have no problem telling a door-to-door salesman no and I wanted the free food processor. I use them in my hobby and burn them up quite regularly. Well, the plan kind of backfired. My wife loved the vacuum. The girl that came out was not the least bit pushy and did a fine job demonstrating their products. Yes they were deceptive with lies about a survey and yes it was an old school vacuum cleaner sales job all along. But the vacuum did an amazing job on the carpet that my wife had vacuumed the day prior with a Dyson. We bought the vacuum.
We will see what it is like to get filters, parts, service, etc. And yeah it is plastic. But I have to give credit where credit is due - this overpriced vacuum cleaner does do a great job. Much better than the Dyson or Oreck before it. Hope it keeps doing so until we get our money's worth of use out of it. |

| My Family is Absolutely Amazed at this product. For the first time in years my house is actually getting cleaned without the noisy, loud useless vacuum cleaner. we love our Filtropur and is so grateful. |
