Mr. Phil Larson (Manager) and his associate Matthew Schnaible contract a First Data merchant account for me after my bank stopped processes for First Data. I've been an existing customer with First Data since 2008 through my bank. I went back to them because we never had any issues with service, rates or excessive charges. Since this new account has opened (September 2012), our credit card fees and monthly charges have increased by more than 100%. I've requested numerous times for an explanation of the increased fees, excessive additional charges and now a non-compliance fine of $24.95 for our account and I cannot obtain access to the online self-testing program that is suppose to make us complaint. If I call First Data directly, I am referred to Mr. Larson. I call and leave voice mail for Mr. Larson or I send email and I never hear back from him. When I have heard back from him, he did not address my issues nor has anyone assisted with the PCI non-compliance issue or addressed the fines I'm being charged monthly. I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but I have serious doubts that anything will amount to it as I see they are a paying member so my complaint will be ignored along with all the numerous other ones. I will be canceling this 3 year contract, which by the way, was not included with my original contact copies received. The page 9 that includes the term of 3 years was conveniently left out when I originally applied for the account and I specifically told them I did not want a contract again since I had already been with First Data for 5 years. The sales rep and the manager both lied and deceived our company just to obtain our account and in my opinion, they did so with the intentions of increasing our rates and monthly fees and are now ignoring my requests for assistance for pure monetary gain. These people do not understand what customer service is and if they do, they are intentionally ignoring and harming my company financially as a result. I intend to consult a civil attorney regarding damages as I now have to obtain another merchant account and start this process all over again after less than 6 months. From the other negative complaints about First Data, all their sales reps are contracted out and therefore, they are released from liability for misleading or dishonest sales tactics. We'll see about that. I've retained all correspondence as well as the incomplete contract I received via email. Mr. Larson is going wish he had assisted me to resolve these issues when I am done with him.
