Consumer Alert! Wayne Bender - aka Wayne Fontaine and Fontaine Flooring, LLC First, the company Fontaine Flooring, LLC is not registered with the State of Minnesota. Wayne Fontaine who regularly changes his name takes jobs he gets on craigs list. He bids the jobs low and then runs with your deposit. He has stolen money from homeowners in Plymouth, NE Minneapolis, North Minneapolis and other areas in the Twin Cities. I found his website person had posted a page with all the info to know I had been defrauded of my money. Find that page at www.fontaineflooring.com/fraud.htm Note that all those reports are in the last few months. He is on a scam mission. My story: I gave Wayne Fontaine $500 cash as a deposit to refinish my floors. He said he had lost his id and could not cash a check. He gave a reference of a woman that I was able to call. This was probably someone who is working with him. He took the money, scrapped the edges of the floors and left for lunch. Wayne has never returned. He would call, say he had been in the hospital, that he was at my house and could not get the key code to work on the lock on the door, etc., etc., etc. Friends story: I had made the mistake of referring him to a friend on the same day because he seemed sincere, she gave him a $350 check deposit. He cashed the check, partially sanded the floor and then said that his equipment was broken. After leaving many messages this gal got a return call that he would be back in one hour. Of course he was a no show and never returned a call again. Phone numbers he uses are: 763-447-0253 and 763-377-0059.
The insurance number he gives you is fraudulent.

Maury Fontaine Flooring Inc reserved a number of business names including Fontaine Flooring in an attempt to stop Wayne Bender of Fontaine Flooring LLC from using our business name.
