21st of Sep, 2008 by User758487
Kid purchases game and accessory in store. Clerk does not check with kid to be sure accessory is correct for system, as game is for different system. Kid walks 5 feet out the front door of establishment and realizes he got wrong thing. Kid goes right back in. Store does not have correct one. Clerk issues store credit for product price...NO SALES TAX INCLUDED. Mom goes in store to request kid's cash back. Clerk is rude and demands that Mom leave. Family picks up order at store next door. Mom looks at reciept and sees that clerk rang return as trade in and kept the sales tax. Mom goes back in game store and tells clerk he did not refund tax. Clerk takes gift reciept and repeately orders Mom to leave or he will call the cops whilst Mom repeatedly tells him to refund the tax and she will get out of his face. Clerk picks up phone and starts calling cops because Mom won't leave. Well, DUH MORON, you're holding on to my kid's gift reciept. Did he actually think I would be intimidated into leaving without it? Mom tells clerk to go ahead and call the cops so they can come down and make him return the sales tax. Clerk puts down phone and snottily refunds tax, then tells mom not to come back again. Mom calls store owner to complain about service. Store owner refuses to hear out complaint and simply hangs up on Mom. Mom calls back,. Store owner tells her if they come back into store they will be arrested for tresspassing. HUH? Store has $32.24 of kid's money and he can't come in to use it since idiot employee sold him wrong item to begin with? Mom tries calling again, gets fax machine. Mom calls again, gets answering machine. Mom has to call POLICE DEPARTMENT to assure that kid can actually go in to use store credit and does not get ripped off his $32.24. NICE CUSTOMER SERVICE, Mike!!! You'll be out of business in 5 years. Mom takes kid to another game store and purchases correct accessory out of her own pocket so kid does not have birthday ruined, but has to use money that was supposed to purchase pizza kid requested for dinner. Mom mentions Gamerz Planet in competitor store and gets nothing but groans and complaints from a room full of strangers. Again, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, MIKE!! Mom files complaint with BBB and calls state revenue department to report possible sales tax fraud. ENJOY YOUR CHAT WITH THE TAX AUDITOR, MIKE! Many sarcastic thanks to Mike and his staff at Gamerz Planet in Grand Junction Colorado for giving my son a birthday he will not only remember for a long time to come, but will share with all of his gaming friends. Hey, Mike, did you know if you lost 45 customers who spend an average of $50 a month, that adds up to $26,000 a year?! Can you really afford to lose $26,000 a year in business over $32.24? LEENA
