GetACoder Hold up my money and refuse to send it to me Internet

I have done several jobs as a freelancer using the GetACoder.com. There were problems right from the start. After the first project done my withdrawal request was denied. I sent verification documents, contacted support after a month or two they released my withdrawal. I thought that was all the pain. My account is now verified and I can normally work and get paid. Sounds reasonable enough, but NO. On my third project my money was hold up for 6 months without any explanations. After this point I decided I will work no more with GetACoder. And I did not for sure. But one of my clients for which I have done a project on GetACoder contacted me and asked me to do another project for him. He said he has money only on GetACoder account. I did not wanted to do another job on GetACoder because they already hold up my money and proved to be an Internet scam company. But my client insisted as he does not wanted to deposit money on another site. So, I agreed. I did the project. It was a small project for 80$ or so. Then I tried to withdraw my money from my account onto my VISA card. And here the pains started all over again. My withdrawal was held for a month. After a month without any notification it was cancelled. I wrote to their support, and they said I have to verify my account AGAIN. I send them pictures of my ID card and utility bills. This was not enough, they wanted them translated. Ok, I translated them. If you think this was good enough you are 100% wrong. They said that the buyer, i.e. my client, has to verify his identity as well. And they advised me to force him to send his documents to them. I asked him and he said that he is not going to work with them again so no reason to send them anything. And now I have over a 100$ in my GetACoder account and no chance to get any of them. I could live without those money for sure, BUT I want the world to know that GetACoder is an Internet SCAM company that steals people's money. And it is best if nobody do any business with them!!!

I also facing problem with them, moreover getacoder can be strict for service provider but very flexible
for the buyer.

They always giving pain for withdraw money. Even their limited payment method suports.

GetACoder is the worst service of its kind. I have worked as a freelancer in many sites, including, Elance, Freelancer and more. GetACoder can't even get close to them, because of their shitty service, and if you are a free user and works on only small projects, they will literally rob you of all the money you earn.

For instance if i earn 60$ in Elance i will be paid 55$, they take 5$ commission. Fair enough.

Where as in GetACoder, if i make 60, they will take 15$ as commission. Once i did a 30$ project and got only 19$.

They are scumbags.

I had deposited money to post a job. I did not award the job to anybody because i did not like the job proposals i was getting from people.

So my job expired and one would have thought the deposit i made to my GetaCoder.com account will remain so i can maybe post a new job in future? No.

I had been offline for a few months, because i had not used get a coder for few months they took deposit money which disappeared. I contacted them to explain to me why my money had gone missing, they gave a poor excuse and then refunded my $25. They said this is the only time they will refund me the money and next time they wont.

This is what i don't understand!? Why take clients money if they are deposited?

I agree Getacoder.com is a scam, i would not recommend getacoder.com. If you are serious about business you will look for serious companies who are registered.

they are actually bullshit portuguese company and owned by single person. They took my $2000 dollars without any reasons. They asked for all documents and i sent them. Then they said i have to send more information to proof my identify and my client.

Government people should check this company. They has to be banned from this world. They are doing illegal business and taking money from people without reason.

We are working hard and they are taking money. Please someone from government level - investigate this site and blocked forever.

Good luck everybody. Don't use! you won't be paid for your hard work to live.

I worked in other freelance sites but my favorite one is GetACoder. I worked with serious and honest buyers that paid on time. The fees on GetACoder are lower than in some other marketplaces and if you have any doubts their support staff helps you. I have now more than 40 reviews on GetACoder and never had problems.
