H/A Air Conditioning
H/A Air Conditioning, Inc. People work to hard for their money to be taken advantage of! Miami, Florida
1st of Jun, 2011 by User814456
I am a single mom that works very hard for her money. I have to budget any extra monthly costs very carfully. I kept recieving flyers in the Val-Pak for duct cleaning and a/c yearly maintenance. I tend to not use them due to that old saying "If it's to good to be true, it probably is". However, my a/c unit had been freezing up and one of the ads I recieved had a special for duct cleaning and a/c maintenance. I called Florida Air Duct Cleaners to take advantage of the special being offered and they sent out H/A Air Conditioning, inc. They were over an hour late because they said they couldn't find my address (however, no one ever called for directions). When they finally got here they hooked a big machine to the main a/c outlet then went outside to do the maintenance. The man began to explain that my compressor may be going bad and the unit was old. He said that I had a freon leak. i stopped him politelry and explained I have Home Warranty therefore wasn't willing to pay out of pocket for expenses right then. As he came inside to collect the payment he was on the phone to another customer explaining he was on his way and late because he had the wrong address???? He said he wasn't going to charge me for the maintenance because it would leak out, he made a list of things to have my home warranty look at (I was thankful and at the time thought he was being helpful). I immidiately called my home warranty and had them come out the next week. My a/c is fine!! He went over everything with me, showed me that it was condensation not a leak, also explained that the grill was clean on all sides but one, the one closest to the dirt & axplained why it was dirty and how that one portion wasn't affecting the a/c as well as what to look for. He said the reason it was freezing up was because it needed freon. When I told him my story, he preceeded to talk about the vent cleaning (as he did that for years with a different comany durring his career) and how they go to each vent in the house to clean it. I told him they didnt do that! (Keep in mind I contacted the company after they left to tell them the flyer said unlimited vents but they didn't do anything with them and I was told all they do is the main big vent with the filter). Bottom Line: H/A Air Conditioning, Inc. didn't want to take the time with my unit once I made it clear I would not be spending any out of pocket money that day. They lead me to believe (put it on paper) that I needed to have things done to my unit that did not need to be done. I had to pay a deductible to have my home Warranty come out to sinply "service" my a/c unit! When I contacted the company they let me tell the entire story then put me on hold and another agent picked up asking if she could help me as if I hadn't spoke to anyone. I can tell that tey were very uninterested in assisting me.
