HABITS for the Home Took $2000+ my money & never delivered chairs that are over 16 weeks overdue!!! Will not refund money!!! Cheats! Seattle, Bellevu

Paid $2135.25 for 10 chairs in Feb. 2010 from Habits for the Home. Specifically told the saleslady I needed the chairs by Halloween and Thanksgiving for events I was hosting. Promised they would be delivered by then, "We keep these chairs in stock all the time, not problem." Contract stated "To be delivered in approximately 24 weeks for manufacturing. " ~ August. I agree to order the chairs on the stipulation they would be delivered as promised.
Called in August, told chairs will be here in September. Called September, "we're having a bit of trouble, but definitely here by October. Called in October, no chairs. I then requested a specific date for November. I was told by saleslady she talked to the buyer and the chairs would be delivered to my house "No later than November 19th."
I told the saleslady that if the chairs were not delivered by Nov. 19th, I would would no longer need them and would want my money back. This would not be 36 weeks since I paid my money, approx. 12 weeks/3 months later than promised on the contract.
November 19th came and went. Thanksgiving came and went. No chairs! I called and requested a refund the Monday after Thanksgiving. It was now almost 40 weeks later and no chairs. The manager, Jennifer Engel, refused to refund my credit card, saying she didn't have the authority needed to talk to corporate head. End of that week called back and said according to the contract then didn't have to refund my money. I said it is illegal to keep my money indefinitely and 40 weeks is not even close to the approximate 24 weeks listed on the contract. Still not refunding my money. Run don't walk away from this company, they lie, cheat and steal your money! NRW Seattle, WA.
