VISA fraud

I have had charges to VISA from a string of companies (DIET Max originally) that used a single internet transaction. In spite of carefully following instructions from VISA about recording cancellation confirmations, refunds etc. two years later I'm still getting fraudulent charges. Although VISA has been good about reversing charges I have cancelled my credit card for fear of further charges from "shadow" companies -- like HD concepts. The latest one is from a credit collector (or poser) seeking payment for a reversal of VISA charges involving HD concepts. Do I write the creditor with the record of my cancellation attempts and fradulent charges or will that suck me in further interactions?
